They basically summed it up perfectly right near the end. The only person buying a ranger doesn't have enough parking space for an F150. They cost almost the same.

Yeah, wish the Ranger was even smaller.
Gave up on the Ranger when Ford gave up on the small truck market.

Hard sell for this size of truck in North America, with even Toyota and Nissan upsizing into this market. It is like all the car manufacturers discontinuing Focus, Fits, and running with SUV's

I was really hopeful with the release of the Ranger but when I see the 2.3 eco boost as the only motor coupled with it’s price tag I was quickly disappointed. I like the way the Ranger looks but hard not to pick some of the other alternatives out there.
I always liked the midsize pickup size as it’s easy to park and put in a garage still but if I was in the market for one today it would be a Toyota Tacoma. Otherwise I would just go full size F150 or RAM again and just deal with the parking inconvenience.

Don’t discount that 2.3EB in the Ranger. It’s a quick truck. Surprises a lot of people.

I had a nice Ranger XLT as a demo for a few months, I liked it. As Chris said, with the 2.3 EB it has plenty of snap.

Maybe the new Maverick pickup will fill that small truck niche

I purchased a 2020 Ranger Lariat ....nice vehicle
Picked it up Friday October 30th day before Halloween waxed it installed some mud flaps
Hit a deer Sunday Nov 1 a few days later only 199 kilometres!!!!!
over a month of "discussions" with insurance i was finally made whole. During that time I was debating what to replace it with..... ended up ordering a 2021 F150 XLT Sport 302a with extras total difference in price $4200
