For anyone who's remotely interested in this sort of thing, you have to check out the military museum at the Oshawa airport. You get to see all of these amazing machines up close.
Also once a month in the nicer weather they have what's called "tank Saturday", this is a paid event where you get to see tons of these machines up close and in action as they do mock battles, etc. If you have kids, they will love it. I took our kids last October and it was super cool to see (bring ear plugs or ear muffs, it's loud to say the least).
I'm sure with Covid, these may be on hold but I highly recommend checking it out if/when they are holding this event.
