We are installing a wood stove in the house. Have had them in the last two and especially now with almost 5 acres of bush it just makes sense from a cost stand point. But I want to try and keep the “basement” where the kids sleep from being too cold.
Is it possible to install a secondary or smart thermostat that will monitor temp in both the main room upstairs as well as the basement?
Don’t want to be flipping or moving it back and forth in case we are going away we can rely on the furnace to keep things upstairs where they should be but also keep the basement from getting too cold if the wood stove is working upstairs.
