Want to redo the siding on my gables, however my electrical weather head runs down the one side. How close can I get to this thing before I become fried? Or am I just in disconnect land if I want to do this?

When ever I worked near or up to the electric service entering the house, I used to wrap the top of my ladder legs with either rubber or carpet, only thing that is live is the connectors & they are usually taped anyways , just don't bang your ladder off the wires & you will be fine ! and if its in your way you can use a dry piece of wood to push or prop it out of the way , just make sure no 2 touch each other !

Maybe if your call hydro they will come out and put covers over them for you, seen them on houses under constructionhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200828/9ca56ce656bb4344578b9fc033eac452.jpg

Yea I can get them wrapped, we do it all the time for roofs. Just trying to avoid the $800 charge on $300 worth of siding.

Thats generally what I get whenever we call for a wrap. $800 charge and $1100 deposit until the wraps are removed.

I guess it’s like a helmet. Only seems expensive until something happens.

Think I might just paint that side and call it a day.
