Have A sctx4 that I used on my other truck.
Unlocked it. Updated it and tried to tune the new truck and it says “I’m known vehicle”
I contacted SCT via email and they said to send the tuner information and ecu I for that the tuner is pulling. I sent that all a week and a half ago and never got another reply.
I’m assuming it’s just because the program for the truck is too new.
Anyone had This before. How long should I reasonable expect for them to have something? (Since the 2020 truck has been out for a year now)
Am I better to contact a more local tuner and see what they have?

I thought the tunes were written for the VIN of the vehicle as well. So you'd need to upload new tunes for the new truck. Unless I'm mistaken.

Yes I was wondering that so after I linked it. I tried another download. Still says unsupported vehicle.

Just assumed it would do that with the update.
I never had to down load specific tunes with the old truck. Just run an update on the tuner and it would add whatever the newest version of the tunes were
Cuz I switched trucks maybe I have to down load a specific tune?

Never run a tune not specifically for my car so maybe I'm out to lunch on this one as I'm unfamiliar with generic tunes. Maybe your truck being so new SCT doesn't have that specific ECM strategy loaded yet to this generic tune database?

That’s what I’m assuming. Will try and call directly tomorow and see what they say

Why are people still using SCT it's old technology, HP Tuners and Lund Racing is the way to go these days on the newer vehicles.
Hope SCT can get you all set up.

Yup for guys with the older cars the new stuff isn't compatible so SCT is your best option but if you plan on tuning a newer vehicle SCT just doesn't have the options the software out today has.

Well aware. Kinda sucks because from what I am aware of HPT tuning suite is far more user friendly then SCT pro racer

HPT is written in layman's term so just about anyone can learn it and it's cheaper to operate if you're a calibrator, too bad only the GM and Dodge guys know how to use it locally and the Americans they are all over this software. HPT is very popular with the truck guys also.
If you're interested there is a tuner in Quebec I can recommend you to, his shop is on the same property as Napierville drag strip.
