Greetings TMC,
If you are attending the DaSilva Racing Track Day (Road Course ONLY) on June 11, 2020 we ask you to watch this thread and check it regularly for important information and updates regarding the event.
From the TMP website:
To reduce contact at the gate, we are asking everyone to please call DaSilva's and pre register over the phone.
The limit upon entry is 1 Participant and a 4 crew limit. Must enter the facility at the same time as the driver. No one will gain access if not with the participant upon entry.
NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED.
Social distancing is in effect at this facility, all persons must be 6’ (2m) away from one another at all times. Mask should be worn if anyone is closer than 6ft (2m) in pit area or outside of your pit area.
Stay in your vehicles outside of your pit area. Sanitize your hands before opening any doors or entering washrooms.
Sorry, but during these different times, we must follow measures to protect our clients and staff.
For more information* please visit: https://torontomotorsportspark.com/roadcourse_rules/
*NOTE - Some of the rules will be modified for this event (ex. We will only use the two main straights for passing zones, and in the ROOKIE GROUP - NO PASSING ALLOWED) and will be discussed at the drivers meeting.

Hello again Track Day participants. I just got off the phone with TMP and they confirmed that the concessions (cash only) and washrooms (or port-a-potties) will be open during our event.
To cut down on contact, we are also asking everyone to please pre register by calling DaSilva Racing n slapping it on your credit car.
Serious time we are living through, please do your part to help reduce the risk, only takes a phone call.

Stay in your vehicles outside of your pit area.
Can I get clarification on what exactly this means?
Going from pits to the flag stand or when coming off the track, don't stop your car n chat.
Because of the current situation out there, new to this event, no ride alongs are permitted, only peeps in your car, the ones that arrive with you.
Can I still ride my bicycle around the front driveways in between sessions ;)???

How many cars are allowed on property for hot laping ??
TMP has it listed at 45. Please note that this does not mean all cars on track at the same time. As per past track days, participants will be divided into three groups A - Advanced, I - Intermediate, R - Rookie.
A -Advanced - Experienced lapping day drivers, running modified cars with r-compound tires or slicks
I - Intermediate - Experienced drivers running stock or slightly modified cars on street tires
R - Rookies - First timers or those with only a few lapping day experiences. NO PASSING in the ROOKIE group.*
* If after a session or two, a move up to the I group can be made. Please consult with the track marshal.
As per the norm, groups will be out for approx 20 minute sessions.
Yes for sure we will be updating social distancing guidelines at the drivers meeting.
OMG I'm excited to get my car out.
Called to reserve your spot yet?

Correct. Zero spectator's are allowed in. Have to arrive as a 'crew' with a car.

Mustang isn't back on road yet - I think I may have resolved the turn signal issue which appears to have been an ignition switch issue. Haven't started it as yet after winter but hopefully soon...and daily driver needs new pads/rotors but that won't be done until border is open and i can order parts.

Oldschool usually steals his wife’s car in situations like this.
I have contemplated it before. Would love to try my wife’s Mini on the track.

Caddy needs rear brakes but haven't had time to buy parts and do them. Still rocking winter tires as a result but they're not getting driven much - pretty much just grocery and beer runs. Will get around to it sometime next week.

You don’t have to come at 8:00 and I’m pretty sure that due to noise restrictions in the county, we are not allowed on track until 10:00.

No - picking up brake pads for one car this afternoon and still have to put Mustang ignition/steering column back together (on the upside, looks like I resolved my faulty turn signal issue - not the turn signal lever but the ignition switch itself).
