MFP MFP-WHIPPLE-CS Crank Support Kit (2011-2020 Mustang GT with Whipple G3-G5 10 Rib Kits)
The crank support system on the Coyotes are a weak link when installing an aftermarket supercharger, especially the larger Whipple Superchargers units. The added force on the belt & pulley system has been known to flex or snap the 5.0L Coyote crankshafts causing catastrophic damage.
MFP (Main Force Performance) out of Australia has come up with a solution in their Coyote 5.0L Crank Support Kit. Made from billet aluminum with a billet 316 steel bearing, this crank support system helps to minimize any flex or movement in the front of the crank to help prevent breakage. The aluminum plate installs onto the timing cover around the balancer using the included spacers and bolts. The balancer bolt slides through the large 316 billet steel hub that will also sit inside of the balancer to help keep it from moving. This hub will replace the factory washer and then sits inside of a large, high-RPM-capable bearing attached to the billet aluminum plate. These act together to keep the crank in place and in one piece.
