View Full Version : Vegas Dream racing
I am going to be in Vegas Feb 6th to the 10th for mostly work related but we have the Saturday free, so we booked the dream car racing experience for Saturday morning.
We went with the multi car combo #3, where we get to drive 2 different cars for 5 laps each.
Group 1-Lamborghini Aventador- Mclaren 720S or Ferrari F12
Group 2- Lamborghini Huracan-Ferrari 599 or Ferrari 458
I am set with the Group 2 Ferrari 458, i've always wanted to try a mid engine Ferrari so here is my chance.
For group 1, i am leaning towards the 720S but i also like the Aventador.
Given the chance, what cars would you chose ?

720S would be my choice. Its infinitely newer tech and much faster than the base Aventador. Unless you're dream is to drive a V12 Lambo I'd say you'll find the 720S much more of a thrill. Lambo has better pantomime and sound however.
This is all assuming the Aventador isn't an SV or SVJ.
Yes it's just a "standard" Aventador
Because of the high tech in the car, the 720S is also my first choice but it almost reminds me of a GT350 with the above 8,000 rpm redline, not saying they are the same but i get to experience that anytime i want in my car.
With the Aventador is more of a different experience with the V 12 engine, and its always been a dream of mine to dive a Lamborghini. Decisions decisions, wish i could drive them all lol.

Base Aventador is more fun at low speeds.

wow tough choice never really seen either up too close so I'd have to really check them out before I could decide...sounds like a blast!!!
It starts with a in class lesson, followed by 15 minutes in a simulator and than you move on the the track.
I’m actually looking forward to the in class section, hopefully I pick up some pointers for the Spring track day

I don't see Civic Type R listed?
What simulator do you go on?
Track simulator
2 • TRAINING
Depending on what you are going to drive, you will receive a classroom theory session on how to drive on our race track. This will take approximately 20 minutes.
3 • SIMULATOR
Train on an exact laser scanned replica of our track, in our fully immersive simulators, and become comfortable with our controls and commands. This will take approximately 15 minutes.
*Simulator sessions will be substituted with demonstration laps by our intructors when on the Outside Road Course.
4 • DRIVE
Finally, the moment you've been waiting for: get behind the wheel of the car on track.
5 • COOL OFF
After the adrenaline subsides, relax and unwind in our Dream Racing Lounge.
I don't see Civic Type R listed?
Nope. . Probably because the wing is too big wouldn’t be able to see anything behind you ?

That’s awesome. How long ago did you do it?
Car number 5 looks like a Terry Labonte paint scheme?

That was 13 years ago. It was Kyle Busch’s car at the time. 18 laps on MIS. They let me go just under 150 mph.

I did Frank Hawley's drag racing school many moons ago at Maple Grove Raceway. My best run was an 8.91 at 150mph in agas dragster. As much as I like track days in Ol Paint, I'd do another drag school in a heartbeat.

That's awesome, 15 laps in that car, wow what an experience!
That's right, Kyle Bush drove for Hendrix for a while, wonder if they kicked themselves in the ass for letting him go. Shitty attitude but a good driver.

That's amazing, 8.91 @ 150. Must have been a scary ride lol.
So we locked in the cars earlier today, I picked the Aventador and the 458.
My buddy is a Ferrari fan so he picked the F12 and the 599.
I’ll make sure to take lots of pics and a few videos.
