Sledding in Quebec?

This has never happened to me in Quebec - what about you? (edited from a comment on my FB page): "A couple of buddies trailered up to Mont Laurier last weekend and they got $30 tickets from the Sûreté du Québec (police) for not having the Ontario stick-on-licence plate on their sleds."
Hopefully, this is only a one-off incident, but apparently, our legal-in-Ontario custom numbers were unacceptable.

Local officers in that area put me through the wringer last yr for the exact same reason threatening to have my sled removed / towed. Sent a letter to the Quebec Federation, no reply, did not buy Quebec permits this year.

The Newfies are still hoping that Quebec separates from Canada so that they'll have a shorter drive to Ontario.

Sorry no. There are comments from a guy who wrote to the Quebec mto and FMCQ he was assured it was perfectly legal to ride with Ontario Reg numbers. There was supposed to be a letter that he received but I can't find it. It seems to be a select few police doing this. If you are legal in Ontario then you are legal in Quebec. Make sure you have a mirror mounted on the left side of your sled though. Not on your wrist.

IMO Fuck Quebec.
