My 66 has a nice stainless steel dual exhaust but the turn downs were cut flush with the bottom of the rear valance so you can't see the exhaust at all.
I say if you have a nice exhaust, show off your tips!
The back end as it sits today with stealthy dual exhaust.

There are 4 basic options. Please share your opinion
Option 1
There is the through the valance GT style option. It's a bit pricy as it means cutting or replacing the valance and removing the bumperettes

Option 2
Simple turn down tips. I'd do polished and maybe a tad longer than this pic.

Option 3
Straight out under the valance

Option 4
Stay stealthy and do nothing.

Man do I every miss the vinyl roof. Back I on the day I couldn't imagine a car not having one...
I would be inclined to do option one, but I would take it a step further - I would removed the reverse lights and replace them with exhaust pipes - will also save the valance in case you decide to return it back...

I hate to say it cause I love me some nice exhaust tips but... it almost looks better with the turn downs or "hidden" set up, only cause the backup lights look like the exhaust lol, they are the perfect spot...kinda throws the balance off a bit with more tips sticking out...just my first thoughts seeing it

I find the bumperettes make the rear end a bit busy when you add exhaust tips too. Maybe they should go like in the option 3 pic

Option 1 for sure, get rid of bumperettes makes it look so much cleaner

I like option 2. More period correct?

I prefer a subtle, classy look, if it was me I’d do option 2 with some stainless rolled tips, but pointing down and a bit shorter than option 2 currently shows. This might take some doing as I know there’s not a ton of room there, but that’s what I would do.
Otherwise I’d do as hammerhead says.

Well Mrs Buck has spoken.
Option 2, polished.
I might as well lock the thread now. lol

Option 2 but because it is so subtle I would do option 4 and leave it alone.

Option 2 is good news as you can now apply the funds towards new TCI springs, shocks and Mustang II suspension with power rack and pinion setup. ;-)

Option 4.
