It has been confirmed that the Voodoo has inherited changes from the 5.2 Predator Engine Program. The Gen 2 5.2 changes have started with MY2019 GT350 (Voodoo) Production. The Voodoo received these changes to improve commonality between the Voodoo and Predator. (Ultimately to reduce cost instead of producing two variations of parts for the 5.2 engine family.)
Please note that there is no longer a difference between GT350 and GT350R engines as there was before MY2019. All 2019 Voodoo engines are now considered GT350R engines per their data tag.
Please note that the Gen 2 Voodoo still uses the Flat Plane Crank.
How to confirm that you have a Gen 2 Voodoo?
Pop off your driver side coil cover. Your engine data tag should be near the dipstick. If your tag says KA then you have a 2019 Gen 2 Voodoo.
