TMP Night of Fire...

I saw 92redragtop's post about this event and called him to see if he wanted some company. Then we picked up NickD and headed to Cayuga. After a stop at Wally Parr's for some sausage on a bun, excellent as usual, it was off to TMP. I've been to TMP many times, for track days and othe events, but I have never seen so many cars and motor homes and people. It was crazy jammed. While there was a lull on the strip we wondered over to the road course to watch some two wheelers. I don't know if it was done for spring track day, but they have repaved the starting area. Impressive to see baggers and enduros and cruisers being run on the road course. Back to the strip and we found a spot along the fence about 30 feet from the starting line. You'd be hard pressed to get any closer to the action without actually being on the track. The noise, heat, rubber, smoke, and nitro fumes were intense. Thanks to Richard and Nick for the company and to TMP for a great event.

Sorry Rick - was a late post on my part and was glad Stephen and Nick was able to go.

It was a great afternoon/night for the track with amazing on-track entertainment.

The only thing Stephen missed in the recap was that we left the track coated in rubber and smelling like nitro from standing at the fence.

Hey, it was an open post - had one more seat in the car.

Actually, when we dropped Nick off he mentioned you lived a few minutes away - I always thought you lived further west.

I'm no Richard, but I took a few vids with my phone. Here's one from Sunday that my finger doesn't obstruct the view. lol Notice the propane tank that was left close to the track. The heat from the after-burners is immense.
