The rate of speed is evidence? Why is it never evidence when a citizen is stopped and charged with 50 over?

Hmm, wonder if any relation to Cam Woolley?
Sorry to say, but they are held to a higher standard, should have known better.

Won’t divulge the speed? Wonder if they will divulge the BAC? That’s more relevant IMO

Going to be very costly for him. Just happy to hear that no one was injured when they found this guy. Could have been a very tragic story.

There was another one this weekend also:

Meanwhile, York Regional Police Const. Tina Teeter, 42, was caught while allegedly driving impaired on Hwy. 400 around 5 p.m. on Sunday, the OPP said.

I dated a cop for a while. They are the some of the worst offenders and regularly break these laws. I'm surprised he got charged.

Maybe the thin blue line is getting thinner.

I think they are realizing in these days of cameras everywhere and social media, they are less likely to get away with giving a pass to one of their own.

There's the occasional boy scout. They get ostracized and typically end up dead ended career wise.

Yep, this case came to mind https://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2012/05/30/rookie_cop_takes_heat_for_arresting_offduty_office r.html

Const. Andrew Vanderburgh was “harassed and berated” by fellow officers because on Nov. 28, 2009, he arrested and charged an off-duty police constable with impaired driving and having a blood-alcohol level over 80 milligrams, according to an internal police disciplinary ruling. Some officers also allegedly called Vanderburgh a “rat,” Justice Paul Reinhardt wrote in a pre-trial ruling.
