Also seeing a few guys opting to replace rear shocks after complaining about control when the road gets rough / through dips etc with excellent results. Sounds like a heavy rear springs with not enough shock to properly control them
I’ve been reading - found a good thread and finding this out. Odd Ford is not releasing the spring rates or travel (that at I can find). My guess is the travel is around 1” the front springs around 300 pds and the rears around 500. It appears there is not much that can be done to the front without major fab work and that’s getting me thinking and then I have to smack myself in The head and remind myself it’s your daily dumbass lol. They canceled the GT model from 2023 and come out with a replacement version with a 1” taller suspension magnaride and call it a rally version. What a joke. No offence to anyone who aspires to or owns one. It’s just a poor fix to what I think is a big problem. I hear they may be a news design for 2027.
Edit: did find something that said 2.5” travel for my model and 2.1 for the GT. I guess bump stops and travel explain no lean. I’m ok with the firm ride it’s the caster that bothers me and will take it to the shop you mentioned and have them look at it. The only issue I don’t like in the rear is sometimes the tires momentarily leave the ground that’s cringe worthy when they return yikes the bite like something is going to break.

peeps are punctual with the Christmas Lights...
be interesting to see if your Mach E has any amount of drop out when lifted by the chassis. Lack of total travel, makes perfect sense why some are seeing such positive results with a shock change. Been involved i a number of lowered rides on cheapie coilovers. In each case very limited compression travel but worst part is even less drop out meaning tires are constantly loosing contact with the road. Always feels amazing on smooth roads but add even a small dip and the car instantly becomes instable with ridiculously poor ride.

driving on fresh pavement with the radio off is weird, it is so quiet. for the most part the roads I use regularly are good. downtown TO is rough and some spots of the 400 series highways. 407 serrated sections not much fun. I like the car. Its kind of like a sleeper. A grocery getter with a bit of whoop ass. Girls seem to like the car so it fits the moniker "a secretaries car" lol —if I was to compare it to a mustang it would be the Foxbody, only because of its size and interior size and setup. It be real fun if it where standard tranny and I could break the rear end loose once in a while. The High Commander wants one now which is strange because she usually doesn't know what the hell she is driving. She would call me up from CT and tell me she's trying get new wipers and wants to know what kind of car she drives. hahaha but shes a good cook!

Rob a store. No big deal. Mug people. No big deal. Random assaults on subway. No big deal.
Squirrel as a pet? got to get on top of that we need half a dozen officers and the squirrel must die.
I mean I kind of get it.

Most likely just a water valve. I think the saving grace for Samsung is parts are fairly cheap.

My 15 year old GE is doing this too once in a while. I looked into the water valve for it but due to the age of the unit parts are no longer available. Time for a new washer eventually. Right now it has been fine for the last 8 months...knock on wood...

Thanks, I might google and see but likely gonna pitch these, they were not cleaned/maintained when we bought the house so I did my best to clean them up but might be better to just pitch them for a pair of Speed Queens

I've got a Kenmore that's gotta be 40+ years old, still chugging.
My stove, fridge, microwave are all about the same vintage.
My furnace was put in 1983, a Clare, still chugging (although it didn't like the addition of a smart tstat, which has been revoked).
These things will outlive me.

My Maytag washer was about 25 and needed a couple of small repairs which I did. Then the pump went and while likely an easy repair the burning electrical smell told me I'd never feel safe with it again, especially since it's directly under my son's bed, so I bought a new one.

Here's a trailer I'm doing a safety on today. I did the brakes on this trailer 6months to a year ago. It has new brake shoes and drums, new shocks, new brake chambers, new slack adjusters (adjust brakes) 8 new tires. I have to take this apart to take measurement and photo's. It will need nothing else. It will take me 5-6 hours to take measurements for nothing. All our trailers are in similar condition, about 200. If you're ever wondering why shit you buy cost so much this is part of the reason.

this is going on all over. I just returned to work thanks to inflation. My job is paper pushing all manner of safety forms and ridiculous inspections. Millions being spent on a project to bubble wrap a job. It was being done one way for about 70 years and one guy got stupid and hurt himself so now the whole works has to change. Of course the profit loss will be passed on to the final customer.
I'm just another cog, taking my slice.
I'm constantly amazed that society can still afford stupid.

Much less than you think. It's been a couple years but last time I bought 3600-A drums they were around $125. Brake kits were about 80 bucks per wheel. They might be more now.

Like Blue Toy said - It's not too expensive. To buy just brake shoes and drums on the cheap it would be under $200/wheel. There are more expensive brake shoes and drums and shoes if upgrading that could take you to 4-500/wheel. Brake shoes and drums are just part of the brakes. There are many other parts that make up the system (some had been replaced here) and could run north of $3000.00 range if a complete brake job is required. There are also disc brake available and the cost of disc brakes this size are off the charts nuts.
If a company owns 200 trailer and maybe 100 trucks its adds up fast.

I saw my first Cyber Truck today. Can confirm they are as ugly in person as they are in pictures. I heard a YouTuber describe the look as an aluminum door stop, he wasn’t wrong.
Frustrated.
Ordered sled trail permits, paid additional for tracking, follow it's progress right up till it shows delivered, of course it isn't actually here. Why is it so fucking difficult for anyone to actually do their job these days? Didn't get my package but did get the neighbors hydro bill. No idea where to go from here until I speak with the OFSC office on Monday but have heard it involves filing a police report. Only upside is of course I don't need them right now but it was just so freakin easy when there was a point of sale meaning hand over your money, walk away with the permits in your hand.
Spoiled when for years we had the same mail carrier, someone that actually cared about his job, sux he retired but wish him well.

49 years ago today.
So gents,
I have declined the offer for the BC job.
The little one is currently going through the 14month sleep regression paired with teething and the flu for the past week. If we didnt have the support of our family, I dont think we could stay alive.
Sleepless nights, constant fussiness, we are drained - and I could not imagine going through waves of this while being in another time zone... all for another 30k increase.
Feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder.
