Infrastructure spending isn't sexy, and looks like wasted funds to those more concerned with wallpaper and planters. The majority of owners are ignorant of maintenance and design.

Condo boards don't elect those who espouse preventative maintenance. Just like any business run by bean counters, maintenance suffers and $$ will only be green lit to fix failures (expensive) rather than prevention (less expensive).

New planters and wallpaper is visible, infrastructure maintenance isn't, and is hated. Use roadwork as your own metric of this.

I was in Costco, looked at my receipt which came in higher than anticipated. I went to service and had it explained.

If a store like Costco using their buying power to reduce the price of an item from the regular listed amount (they bring in an additional 1,000,000 Husky socket sets so it reduces their unit cost $15 so they mark the product down $10) then tax is due on the new sale price.

On bigger ticket items (tires, consumer electronics, home furnishings) larger stores will often pre discount a manufacturers rebate, such as instead of having the customer buy the aforementioned tires for $2500 and mail in the rebate for $500 they will sell the tires for $2000 (plus tax on the pre rebate amount) and handle the rebate with manufacturer themselves in order to get more customers in the door.

I had spinal surgery when i was 25. I was dealing with low back pain leading up to it and ever since.

Keeping my weight down and core strong has been my best friend in reducing back pain (which is constant). I still fit in the same clothes as high school, and exercise on the regular. Over exercising can trigger an episode, not training can trigger an episode. It's a fine line. 420 doesn't help with my back pain. It does help with acute pain (for me)

naproxin is an NSAID, which can be helpful for inflammation related pain, but not great as a general pain reliever.

I've been dealing with pinched nerve pain in my neck for 10 months now. I've tried every pain reliever there is. (not really). My first try was Lyrica, No effect on pain but sexual side effects. I've had naproxen 500 and tylenol 3. Naproxen was limited on it's effectivness. Tylenol 3 is much better. I also have percocet which is effective but short lived relief (about 3 hrs) CBD creams and oral dose oils are ineffective and thc gummies are also ineffective. Imho I would stick with Tylenol 3 for my pain. For reference I was taking 2 naproxen and 2 tylenol 3 together 3 times a day (12 hr) in the beginning. I've been able to get down to 1 or 2 Tylenol 3 or 1 percocet with a rum and coke chaser when pain is bad.

I'd suggest trying some CBD variant. IMO, decent effectiveness, and minimal side effects.

I'll see your C5 - C7 and raise you a L1-L5

I have steady level 1-3 pain, for the last 35 years with occasional flare ups to 11. I don't use drugs for this pain but have found the best relief with exercise and flexibility. Rock climbing works best for me as it combines strength, and flexibility along with a little bit of fun. For the cervical section, no idea what exercise will work. I would imagine looking down at a phone is not great.

I do have other squeaks and rattles that do get pharma care. Synthetic lube for the shoulder and Celebrex (very sparingly) for the knees and tendons.

I don't consider a good "evacuation" to be a waste of time. To the contrary I pay a lot of attention to diet and hydration in an effort for a daily, and notice a difference when there's a traffic jam. If you have pets I'm sure you notice an uptick in happiness after a big message gets sent. We're no different. I occasionally "time travel" with enough product for the next day and really feel great, although a little extra hungry.

I was prescribed a two week dose of Celebrex once many years ago for back pain. It was like a miracle. Doctors don't prescribe it much due to the severity it can cause to the heart. It's likely they will never prescribe it to me again. CBD is funny. It works on my back but not on my shoulders. Getting old means living with pain —I think.

Funny thing about my pain is that it is not in my neck where the pinch is. It is my right shoulder and arm. Which really sucks being right handed. I've got no strength left in my shoulder, arm and hand. Can't lift anything above shoulder height. Sometimes even my arm is too heavy for that.

Went in and ended up having surgical procedure done. No fluid so puzzled. Took skin sample from face and nose. Have to have dressing changed every day and antibiotics via IV and oral for 7 days. Follow up next week.

I imagine it would be worse when talking the much larger r&d required for a totally new concept.

The development costs/investment for existing models would have been fully amortized by now but with the re-launch of the models recently they would have new cost/investments associated with model updates to amortize in future years (non-cash items on financial statements...similar to how real estate moguls use depreciation to avoid paying taxes). They're amortizing the initial development cost over current/future sales so the amortization per unit will decrease as they scale up....normal production accounting.

The social construct that “men & women are the same & equal” is to blame. This assumes men and women think the same, and share the same motivations. By the time a modern day male reaches adulthood he’s fully acculturated to the “female correct” way of thinking.

Throw in the very recent addition of social media. In the past a man would be exposed to maybe a dozen attractive eligible women in his reproductive years. Now a man is exposed to that many in 5 minutes online. Likewise a woman in their reproductive years would have a mating pool of about a dozen. Now women advertise themselves worldwide via social media and even average ones are getting offers from across the globe. The average guy next door doesn’t stand a chance, and the average girl won’t settle for less than a 6 figure Chad.

Men are raised by women and treated like defective women if they express masculine tendencies in the world where blank slate equalism says the female way of thinking is the correct way of thinking.

I think you’re focusing too much on one aspect of a very complex and multifaceted issue.

If I was to try and simplify it I would lean more to society has it too easy. Regardless of male vs female. Honestly I don’t think it’s more one sex than the other. I think the drug issue. (Regardless of the root cause) is absolutely exacerbated the problem.

WRT pre selection, you are correct. The less affluent use SSRI's less. Since they're a prescription drug, the reporting on user demographics should be pretty close to correct.


WRT "societal issue", that's blank slate thinking (men and women behave, think and are motivated the same). Look no farther than this forum for an example of differences in male/female behavior. Eggs are expensive, sperm is cheap. Women seek quality for their precious eggs, men seek quantity for their cheap sperm. Simply put, a digital Canadian dollar would be a digital form of the cash in your wallet. Like cash, it could buy the things you need. But the advantage is that you could also use it for online purchases and to transfer money between family and friends.
Not sure how this is different than the current currency? I can already use my CAD to buy things I need, online, and transfer money. All my money is already digital. I get paid by my job and deposited electronically to my bank account. I pay my bills online, make purchases online…. at no point does my money become physical unless I go withdraw ACTUAL bills from a cash machine (rarely).

Been here for a long time - all those who thinks it's bad but still uses credit cards, any reward programs, cell phones, home internet, drives a car (licence plate tracking via cameras), is on any govt program (eg. EI, CPP, OAS, ETC), etc, are being misled.

Facial recognition picks you up and immediately deducts $$. Do it twice and you money is unspendable for a penalty period. Want to travel. Can't buy gas. Try to board a train, plane, bus, money unspendable. No need for gun bans, money unspendable on guns, ammo, porn, whisky or whatever else is deemed unacceptable to society, or you specifically. Money comes with expiration date, must be spent within a week, month etc, after which it expires. No stockpiling of any goods as entirety of your purchases are known.

No cash transactions. No garage sale finds, no currency exchange for a "backyard" job.

Yep, there is - and mostly from folks who still use modern tech and facilities so moot point really. Even going into Home Depot they're being surveilled so unless someone lives in a remote jungle somewhere and only barters in exchange for bush meat, it doesn't matter.

Sure, but those freedoms have already been given up by all who utilize modern conveniences and government programs so it just a conspiracy theory hobby at that point. How many of those against it have forfeited their EI, CPP, or OAS benefits in protest or to protect themselves, or refuse to go into/shop in populated areas with retail surveillance systems and traffic cams (or ATM cameras)?

4K oil change on the Mustang. Used my Votex magnetic drain bolt with crush washer. No more leaks as the stock one would leak because I never felt confident in tightening it and having it break. I’m paranoid.

Drained the catch can. This is after 4K. It was quite sludgy at the bottom. It was nearly full. To think, this is what recirculates back into the intake manifold. I feel bad for people with direct injection engines.

Also always problems with the Diode Dynamics side markers. The gore vents cause moisture to get in but the LEDs don’t produce enough heat to evaporate the moisture. So sealed the vents with grey gasket maker on the front and rear markers. Think that solves the problem? Nope. The rears are fine but the fronts still get moisture. Turns out that the opening for the bulb holder is slightly larger than the stock one causing the rubber O ring on the bulb holder to not seal completely causing moisture to still get in. I had to take out the side markers and let them dry in the sun for weeks.

Solution? Shrink tube. Covered over the side marker to the connector and put some dielectric grease on the connector too.

I recently installed a catch can on my family hauler (GDI engine). Looking forward to see how much oil is caught after 2,000kms or so.

Bad month…. After me being sick now my cat is a mess, balance is off and lethargic. Off to vet we go. I Hope nothing serious. I way to attached to her.[emoji1695]

What a beautiful cat. Hope everything went well at the vet. I found that majority of the kitty issues start with not drinking enough water.
There is broth you can put in their water to encourage them to drink more ... I put a couple of table spoons of beef broth and she would lap it up!

She’s really lethargic and her balance is off. Vet says she’s dehydrated, gave her iv to hydrate her but no real change. Waiting for blood test results tomorrow. I think I will be making a decision I don’t want to make tomorrow.[emoji22]

Well… just spoke to vet…. Not good…. She is stage 3-4 with kidneys and also has cancer. Have an appointment at 5 to put her down… I’m devastated.
