My "Little Whippet" in her first big time event. She's not so little anymore - spent the weekend in Erin near Rockwood. Her first big event on her new Mustang and her first big event since she left event schooling. She was very impressive with two thirds and a fourth and a few other lower places. She did really well in her first big time event and is gunning for the big arena. I'm so glad the see the fire in her eyes again because covid was beginning to put out her flame. She's come a long way in three years. This is the first real event for Bess her stead and is becoming a champion jumper as she makes a career switch from thoroughbred horse racing as a retired three year old - she is now 5 - Hanging around all weekend with a bunch of horse woman is like hanging around with a bunch of meatheads with cars - it's exactly the same but I think way more expensive - thinking of getting a mobile tack truck and sell horse parts....lol I'm a proud daddy!!!

That fuel pump is real happy I'm sure lol

^ Good point Zip, low fuel means pump could see cavitation which shortens it's life. Also, pump is kept cool in the fuel bath, low fuel means higher heat.

I’ve never encountered any issues in the past. 13 years of of doing that with the Civic and never had a problem, mind you that’s a Honda. Besides, I gas the Mustang up every 3-4 weeks because work is only a 20 minute drive. So it doesn’t get low very often.

On a side note, still waiting on my exhaust. Will probably have to wait longer as I changed up the one I was gonna get for a different one. The one I ordered had 4” tips but after installing the rear valance, the cutout holes for the exhaust are bigger, so I exchanged it for an exhaust that had 4.5” tips.

My # 1 carpenter's house was 2 streets over from where the tornado touched down. He and his family are fine, but they had streams of people all night coming by. They brought loads of water, food, blankets, etc to the local high school.

Fairly certain they are.

First impressions, car itself is amazing, very comfortable n inspires confidence. As for the trans, talk about confused, easy or rolling on it, it was never in the right gear, shift firmness seemed to change at will. Slide into manual mode, sometimes shifts as you pull the paddle (up or downshift) other times it changes when it feels like it. Uncertain enough as to what it would do, never made a big pull.

mines working good now on the F even with the horse trailer - in the beginning it was a little clunky in spots at times now she's good - I like how it downshifts coming down the big hill on Hwy 10 keeps the speeds even so no braking - the High Commander will be out towing today I think its here F now...lol maybe I have to start looking again for a new 6 spd. car...lol

This is a rant so if you don't wanna read my bitching feel free to skip this post. Feeling "really" burned out on the car hobby/life in general right now. Looking at cars/mods used to be my wind down/relaxation time to put me in a better mood or just decompress from the day. That in addition to doing projects/reno's around the house. But lately cannot for the life of me get in to either. Cars to be honest bum me out as the prices of what used to be my "attainable" dream cars are all at levels that I just won't even be able to get in to them. C6Z's suddenly went from high 30s low 40s to over 50 for the same car. 996TT's went from same range to up in the 70's/80's. Mk4 Supras went from 40k to 70k to now well over 100k for a LHD turbo model and 20k to 60k for a RHD one. My friend has it in his M2 and the ride and comfort is night and day difference. I didn’t get a chance to drive his car but it was a very noticeable improvement over stock. They are fully adjustable for dampening. I am on the fence on picking up a set as I just installed my KW HAS (height adjustable spring) kit for my M2 which was a huge improvement in ride quality.
How is that’s compare to the factory? Is the gain on handling over sport, worth losing the comfort of the normal settings.

Becaus the fear mongers are only focusing on the case numbers. Total case numbers only matter when the death numbers rise in comparison.

Vaccines have fixed that problem. The virus is seasonal and places that have temperature (either really hot or really cold) that forces people inside see a rise in cases. This pattern has been constant since the beginning of the pandemic.

As for kids based on US numbers something like 75 million kids under the age of 18. Last year less than 350 kids under the ages of 18 died from covid. As comparison something like 800 under the age of 18 die from pneumonia in a tyipical year.

Delta is NOT increasing the number of deaths in kids.

You need to look deeper.
The media such as CNN is flaunting Florida as the worse while numbers in other states are worse and they get ignored. Question why. The answer is the political leaning of the governor
2022 is a bi election year which will decide if the Democrats retain hold of the House and Senate

Hey guys, I’m getting my engine back soon, I had the bottoms end forged and I’m going to have it retuned.

My question is, I have 42LB injectors, my goal is to make over 500rwhp, will my injectors be ok ? And yes I bought a new fuel pump. I was reading 42LB can support 100HP per injector, so presumably 800hp I should be ok. Is this true ?

Slo turd has been sitting awhile , decided to take her out and hunt Corollas and Kia Fortes , ended up spilling her guts ( coolant) in farm country-thank god I had case of Costco water in trunk to limp her home
- gave Ed a call- now why did Ford use sometimes 3 bolt ( 2014) sometimes 4 bolt water pumps??? I can’t see if I’ve got a 3 or 4 bolt :)

Look at the pulley. It should have 3 bolts or 4 bolts holding it in place to the water pump impeller. I just compared the 3 vs 4 bolt on Rockauto. That’s the only difference I see.

Not sure how prone to early failure the V8 water pumps are. I know the V6 fails early due to the hose that goes from the water pump to the degas bottle allows antifreeze to run back into the water pump from the degas bottle. Ford’s fix for that was a hose with a check valve so the antifreeze can’t go backwards into the pump. They have a service bulletin on it for those who were still under warranty. New pump and different hose for those who got it replaced. Mine didn’t have the revised hose so I found the part number. $125 from Ford. Got a Gates one from Rockauto for $35. That was the first thing I changed on the car. I was only at 13k on the car when I replaced mine so my pump should be good for a long time.
