Didn't have the heart to take pics of what it looked like when I picked it up. Ross gave it a 4hr quickie when we got home yesterday, looks better but still needs tons of clean up n polishing love. Gotta order rotors n pads all round and an idler arm and it'll be ready to cert. Except for lil bit poochy brakes, drove fantastic coming back from Port Perry yesterday. It and the Cobra have seen little to no use for at least 5yrs or so, been about same time since Dad had been able to show em any splish splash love either.
Even better news, Dad's Cobra is back on the road with my brother at the wheel. It also needs brakes all round plus original tires finally replaced along with a few service items. Not many low mileage bone stock Cobras out there any more.

Congrats on the SS, a real sweat heart car with a great story.

FWIW and I'm sure you're well aware, but when I had my LT1 the LT1-Edit software was a godsend. Lean out the factory settings a bit, adjust the fans (plus add a manual switch), and make a few tweaks and the car drove better than stock with more pep.

Long tubes really woke it up as well and made the plug changes much easier. IIRC my car made right around 3 at the tires with just your basic Cold Air, Full exhaust, TB with the coolant passage deleted, few ignition upgrades and some LT1 edit magic.

my opinion on this was settled when a saw a video form some other country where there was so many discarded bottles and other garbage that high waters jammed it all under a bridge and it caused flooding. the fix was to bring in an excavator that proceeded to dig out the garbage and just drop it back into the river on the other side of the bridge,

time for the un and these idiotic climate groups to start holding actual polluters accountable instead of just finding ways to tax and legislate the rest of us

On that note invest in dashcams. Not having one cost us 1000 bucks deductible and an at fault on the record because wife was turning left and the other guy wrote on the report he was turning right. I thought about hiring a law firm but cost/benefit isn't there.

Ryan O'reilly. is a local guy. Him and his parents have both been customers of ours. funny story in honor of his win.

I'm not really a sports watching guy, used to watch the leafs with buddys back in high school but haven't watched hockey since. I got a service call one day to go look at a dishwasher, and go out to this pretty nice house by the lake.

customers name was Ryan O'reilly. I had not idea who he was. he meets me at the door walks me in as we make small talk I notice some jerseys hanging on the way with some hockey sticks, I say " oh bit of a hockey fan eh?" he gives me this look like i'm from another world and says something like "yeah a little bit"

wasn't till later talking with one of my employees who says dude you met him? that's awesome he play s in the NHL, did you get an autograph.

I did not but apparently I should have. LOL

Typically I would say report no matter what.

Used to work with a guy that was in a minor fender bender. Totally the other drivers fault but in a mood of goodness my coworker said don’t worry about it I work in a body shop It’s. It that bad.

He didn’t report it but got a call from the police later because the other guy did and said it was my coworkers fault and claimed a lot more damage than was a result of the fender bender. It ended up going on my coworkers insurance because no cameras or proof one way or the other.

The police even wanted to charge him with leaving the scene and failing to report an accident

I made her sign an admission of guilt and took pictures, would be a pretty easy fight if it were to happen... I'll call the center... I know for a fact all she has are tire marks on her rim... took pics. I think my damage is probably the cost of a compound. I thought those centers force you to use insurance... I really dont want to deal with insurance even if I'm not at fault, dealing with my wife's crash too... fuck me... lol

I will drive the G37x as my daily and stick to foxes for weekend toys I care about. That way, the next time I won't give a fuck about my $10k Infiniti... Just not sure how much I could get for the 2017, people are piss poor and can't afford cash anymore so for them it's cheaper to buy brand new with a 10 year loan lol.

Maybe trade in for something my wife wants more than the Edge, I sell the infiniti and keep the edge as my daily.

My position at work doesnt allow much for telecommute, managing 20+ people... unfortunately, I am doomed unless I take a serious paycut and scale back on my career.

Maybe I should just not give a shit, I can afford another new Mustang but it's hard to let go. I mean I'm doing good by daily driving it (remember the 2011? I ended up making it into a weekend toy lol).

Edit: just called the collision reporting place. I'm safe, I will get a quote this morning to see how much it will cost to buff out, certainly less than a $1000... Since I took pics of her truck, got her to sign a declaration of guilt. I'm covered.

(Between HPS and HP+) im thinking you had the street sports on the wife's car?
Im continually impressed by JRP, while picking up the pads I asked what brand the slotted rotors they had in stock were and he said stoptech, I asked if there was any advantage to them vs stock Brembo rotors and he said the brembos were better quality. Several times now they have suggested I go with a less expensive option then what I was looking for. (Im sooooo happy I listened to them and got the quick latch hood pins)

EBC yellow?? Cause for me I don’t want anything “similar “ or “close” or anything associated with that (HPS) name - sucks cause I have to wear these “fuckers” out - , stock pads went 140k with track days and changed “just because “but when you’re broke I can’t do “ just because “ lol

welp... wife will have nothing to do with trading in the GT for a new truck. I have to either sell it on my own or drive it until it's worthless. I will put it for sale this weekend, looking forward to the test-pilot emails and stupid offers. lol I think anyone wanting a test drive will have to qualify:

- be over 30 years old
- have cash in hand for deposit ($3000)
- if you drive a riced-out econo car, I'm not even talking to you (get off my lawn).

LOL I guess this is the car I will own for a while hahaha... which is ok. I need to learn to let go, it's just a car who cares about all the future door dings, scratches and whatnot. It's technically my daily beater. I'm just a bit sick of having 2 daily drivers. Maybe I should put the stock suspension back on and buy a set of winter tires for it and sell the G37?

I dunno... I feel like I need to change something with my life right now.

Man these cordless drills are powerful, Milwaukee with a 9.0 core twisted my hand pretty good 9/10 fingers still functional . My own fault I’m use to my old heavy ass corded Makita for coring which I firmly hold , grabbed jrs lightweight drill feels like a toy ...not :(
Blame it on rookie should be doing the slug work , I can’t be responsible for my own carelessness it’s 2019 ,isn’t there laws to protect people from themselves today ;)

Man I don't miss doing coring, back in the day I was using a Hilti Demo drill. If the bit jammed (even with light pressure) the damn drill would continue rotating ripping right out of your hands if you weren't careful. Took a few good shots to the side of the face with that bitch, surprised though I never broke a finger or wrist with it.

^^this was only a pilot hole but I took the weight of the drill for granted & was a little too relaxed with my grip . Only fkd up 1 finger and I thought it was my hand again ( x 2 fractures same spot) I think my right hand is glass now

WARNING: Deep retarded thoughts below!

I hate my brain... so many mental issues to deal with. Anyway now I'm trying to figure out why I'm panicking about my white car so much?

I think it's because it's the only perceived change I can control in my life right now because my job situation is stressing me out a lot these days. But now I'm realizing I'm projecting onto an F-ing inanimate object, the change I can only really control is how I react to change itself. The only constant in life is change which is strange but very true. I've been lazy with idle hands as of late, free time fuels my imagination and sometimes I go in dark places. LMAO Time to focus again. I got to convert my notch into a DECH monster and up my daily read to 150 pages because 100 isn't enough.

Thanks for the listen... if not then FU lol jokes.

As I write this, I'm watching an idiot trying to park outside my office, 5x to re-position and yet the damn SUV is still parked in a 30 degree angle over a line. I'd hate to stereotype but women drivers...

Well that's karma!

The man who drew the ire of animal lovers after he was accused of causing the death of Pinky, a beloved Chilean flamingo at a Florida them park, has died.

Joseph Anthony Corrao, 48, was struck by a pickup as he crossed a road in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Corrao was taken to a hospital, where he died June 5. The truck driver has not been cited, though authorities are investigating the incident.

Corrao was scheduled to go to trial in August on felony animal cruelty charges, according to court records.
In 2016, Corrao was visiting Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay with his family when he grabbed Pinky and threw her to the ground, nearly ripping one foot off, witnesses told police.

I do find home fireworks rather annoying though, I don't see the point in that. People will spend $200 at Costco "for the kids" but they could spend a little more on a telescope and empower the kids much further (if they want to look at the sky).

Almost went the whole 4 day weekend without driving the 05.
Went for a nice drive Monday afternoon and then spent the rest of the day cleaning. First real wash this year. After fully washing and drying the car I noticed small black marks all down the passenger side, still no idea what it was but I ended up clay barring the whole car and another quick wash. I’m going to try waxing it in the garage this week. This is the cleanest the cars been in a while, the wheels actually look good now. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190702/79e9bc6c79b5dde703712479abcd4f5d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190702/7cecfc07a82fcfac6e9da2b54c9273f8.jpg

My dad's had a bunch of Teutonic rockets. Some M cars, now he's on AMG. General experience has shown the BMW stuff to be cheaper to run than the AMG, but he hasn't had a modern M car in 9 years or so.

M cars (up to E92, havent experienced beyond) had much more of a finesse feeling chassis. Excellent handling, high revving, and you could get them with a stick shift.

AMG cars are basically German muscle cars, gobs of torque and loud exhaust, but feel heavier and less quick on their feet.

That said, every German enthusiast car has some form of a poison pill. M156 (N/A 6.2 AMG V8s) engines up to 2011 have the head bolt issue (later models and facelight cars are less affected). The E46 M3 has the subframe issues. BMW Vanos is a fuck show sometimes. Modern AMG bi-turbo cars are maintenance whores (turbos mounted in the valley, WHY) out of warranty.

This all said having grown up with the stuff I wouldn't want to play in that realm unless I felt comfortable devoting several thousands of dollars a year as a maintenance/repair contingency. I ADORE the w211(03-09) E55 and r230 (02-11) SL55. Supercharged V8 monsters, basically the German Terminator Cobra's. But each of those between ABC suspension and hydraulic systems, and general maintenance, are a $2500 a year in M/R costs proposition.
