So in case any of you have been wondering where the heck jibbi has been, I'll give you all an update.
I've been slowly chipping away at the new project car, getting it ready for the upcoming season.
Next, I've finally got my OMVIC, and am now selling cars! Ive sold 3 so far, after starting just a couple weeks ago. I think I have found my calling.
Things are looking up this year and hopefully it continues. I've just been mia because I've been focussing on other things for a while, but I'm back so I can keep the motivation to get this car done!
I hope everyone's life is going well this year so far!

that's cool - I sold cars for a while in Milton way back in '89, didn't need a license - was a tough time for finding jobs so I gave selling cars a try. I managed to sell about five cars in a month or so. I didn't like doing cold calls but really enjoyed meeting people that came into the dealer. Now at I'm older I've been thinking of trying it again....best of luck!

lol - I don't think it's expensive to buy a cup when there - the coffee is so creamy and smooth and you can get a completes system there and there beans to make your own any time and it's very simple to get a great cup of coffee - I believe they even show people how easy it is - checked out the website

Last snow storm, snow removal in the city was abysmal with storm drains filled in, many intersection corners not plowed within 5 or more feet of the curb plus dude that follows the plow on side streets filled drive ways in more vs cleaned them out. Well operator that is suppose to clean off the driveway piles did an even more ridiculous job out front oh here this time. Good to know the mayor looked into and was handling this himself. You can also guarantee drains will also be filled in again, guess they'll send city workers out again a day or so later at time and half or double time to clean up the job that should have been done by plow operator in the first place. Not sure about your streets, around here your lucky if they get within two or three feet of the curb on each side, does a lovely job of narrowing down the street for the already incompetent drivers. In this weather, regular thing to see stop / street signs knocked down by cars.
With the city supposedly so flipping strapped for money, what better way to make money than by saving money and having the snow removal done right the first time.

My parents live in a crescent and half of the time they don't even bother shovelling the snow in the crescent. I called and said how do you expect my folks who are seniors to leave the fucking house if you guys don't shovel the crescent!!
I called and complained and now they have a front loader come in after every plow to clean up the crescents. That area is littered with crescents so I am sure that I was not the only one that complained. Now if they can shovel the sidewalks properly and not tear up the grass.
Around here, half the problem is the equipment has not been properly spec'd for the job. Mickey mouse lil bob cat with a teenie tiny bucket sent out to clear and intersection, and they wonder why it's take him a half hour or better to do what a right size loaded could have done in a couple or three passes. Same machine sent to clean out bus stops, takes him or her forever to accomplish.

A guy at work yesterday said he drives a Cruze and doesn't use winter tires because he doesn't go "north of the 401" (we were talking about our drive in). Doesn't use them on his wife's SUV either - so I'd give "Emilia Clarke" a pass too.

After hearing about the shooting on Bergamot Ave. in Rexdale this week, it's been on my mind all week. I got to thinking that maybe I should revisit the neighbourhood with my kids and show the where their old man grew up. In my youth I would of never imagined this. We moved there in 1962 and for the most part is was a really descent neighbourhood until the early '70's when thing began to deteriorate. I tried to google pics of the recent shooting and couldn't steal any off the web, But I did find this pic of a shooting that happened in 2016 in the same area. The arrow indicates the room I shared with my two brothers. When I was Toronto's (self proclaimed) fastest pizza delivery man I parked my '73 Road Runner right below the arrow where the officers are standing. Later when I finished college and entered the work force I parked my '79 Little Red Express in the very same spot. We didn't have a garage but that didn't stop me from pulling engines and tranny's on various cars I owned, and people didn't seem to mind. In the build just behind our Robert Herjavec of Dragon Dens fame lived. He was much younger than I and I never knew him. At the age of 25 I left the nest vowing never too go back - but these pictures bring back a flood of memories and made me think my childhood wasn't all bad. Living here was my inspiration for how my children live today. My father always told me he tried to do his best to ensure we had more the he had growing up especially education - and I've lived my life trying to do the same for mine....the news today is all sad and sometimes I wish I didn't see any of it.

Steve , you’re a good dude , get in tune with your family, fk the stuff that doesn’t serve you & that you can’t control & everything will work out .
Do stuff you enjoy .
Last week, when a couple of California Highway Patrol officers spotted a man apparently sleeping in the driver’s seat of a Tesla (https://www.wired.com/tag/tesla) Model S going 70 mph down Highway 101 in Palo Alto around 3:30 am, they moved behind the car and turned on their siren and lights. When the driver didn’t respond, the cops went beyond their standard playbook. Figuring the Tesla might be using Autopilot (https://www.wired.com/story/tesla-autopilot-why-crash-radar/), they called for backup to slow traffic behind them, then pulled in front of the car and gradually started braking. And so the Tesla slowed down, too, until it was stopped in its lane.
“Our officers’ quick thinking got the vehicle to stop,” says CHP public information officer Art Montiel. The officers arrested the driver, identified in a police report as 45-year-old Alexander Joseph Samek of Los Altos, for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Thanks, things are a little clearer now. It kind of feels like wearing a lead vest 24/7. That consistent “what’s the point, might as well end it” thought that’s there, always... but responsibility keeps you from acting on it. It’s strange as it’s sort of a loop.
Either way I’m officially broken in the head. We all knew this lol
Anyone feeling depression, go talk to someone. Someone who won’t respond with “don’t be depressed”
Recovery / meds adjustment does not happen overnight, will take some time but journey will get you back to a place where things are a whole bunch better.

$300.00 each for 3 day event, taking a customer, there is a person in the town of St Catherine south shore Montreal, his name is Ted, his shop is called Mustang Direct he runs a similar shop as Da Silva, they are also good longtime friends.

This is by far the most important thing one can do. Take up a routine physical activity outside the home, be with people to get motivated. Eat as clean as you can, many foods “fog” the brain, and sincerely compliment a person a day, the world will compliment you back.
I’m not a religious person but having taken Dale Carnegie programs in my 20’s to enhance my sales career, I only truly benefited from this thinking later in life.

Well when I tried a Tesla with autopilot if you did not hold the wheel every minute or so the car would stop itself. I guess it would be easy to bypass..

Been there many times in my younger years when I lived in Don Mills, glad to hear its still a good one, we hit up the one in Ajax now , always a solid choice for roast beast ! but we've been doing the casino lately , different special every night , tonight is prime rib 10 oz, $17.99 with all the fixings & salad for members ( members card is free) & the food is good ! it does lack in atmosphere & can get very busy !
my 52 year old body reminded me this week that when you tweak something shovelling snow....a heavy back work out probably won't fix it and might actually make it worse
seems I likely strained my left side tranverse abs/internal oblique kinda where it ties into the lower lat during the 15-20 fucking hours of snow shovelling over the past week and a bit
I'm a stubborn SOB so the thought of taking a few days off never enters my thick skull....so I started my back workout Wednesday aft saying my side kinda hurt....and about an hour later I started saying I hurt my side
yeah....and the arm workout I did on Thursday aft confirmed that I strained the fuck outta something
good news.....new extra strength Liv Relief on the shelves at Metro this morning.....and it's in a big tube now https://www.amazon.ca/LivRelief-Extra-Strength-Chronic-Angry/dp/B07L38DZ2F/ref=pd_cp_121_2?pd_rd_w=WbJOL&pf_rd_p=64a84aa4-b549-4445-9bf3-48bdeed5f24a&pf_rd_r=78K5CFAQ8Y9DVPD69NE9&pd_rd_r=a2ef2cb5-379c-11e9-a0bc-1d623743e79f&pd_rd_wg=pDj7B&pd_rd_i=B07L38DZ2F&psc=1&refRID=78K5CFAQ8Y9DVPD69NE9

I was given strict instructions that I was under no circumstances to bring a boat home. Man there are some really nice rides right now. I just kept telling myself, old boat is fine, old boat is fine, old boat is fine.
then we stopped at a bike shop on the way home and the father inlaw picked up a new Fat Bike, and they just happened to had a bike just the right size for my youngest on sale. was gonna wait till his birthday in may, but decided what the hell. now he has a cool new ride just like his big brother who got a new one in the fall.

now I'm stressing out because my wife who was spending the night in Toronto and was suppose to be watching the weather and leaving early to be home before it got bad, "forgot to check and then slept in" so will now be driving home in the worst of it.
Weather is clear northwest of the city. Maybe bad weather is delayed also unless forecast is SW ON only?

wind is up here, little rain on and off, temp gonna go from +8 down to below freezing in the next couple hours, there are talking wind gusts up over 100km/h here
hopefully the worst of it holds off a bit longer

It's still blowing pretty hard (that's what she said) down here in Windsor. PSA, if your roof starts to peel off don't try to be a hero and throw a ladder up in this. I went up earlier to try and help the little old lady across the street whose shingles decided to peel off from the drip edge to midway up a dormer and even in full harness and tied off I was full "fuck this" after 25min and just tarped it.

so much for wind tapering off, still gusting strong here, though I guess one could say 90 km/h is tapered off from 100 km/h
wave chart for the lake is predicting waves as high as 27 feet.

so nice to see UPS are still crooks,
parts ordered from states for tbird as not available from anywhere here, pay dealer 47 for shipping, just received email from UPS saying your package is ready to be delivered, pay us another $127 if you want it.
wonder how long I would stay in business if I charged our $55 delivery fee a head of time then showed up with the fridge and demanded another 100 bucks if the customer actually wants it.
Anything shipped via UPS from the US does not end well.

They don't give a rat's ass, ZR knows only too well how pi$$ed I was over some parts, I asked for a breakdown after they sent me a bill , they just left the box on my door ! instead they sent a collection agency after me ! I will never deal with them again ! & BTW the UPS driver in my hood is a great guy and hates what they do, but as he says it pays my bills so how am I too argue and we're always BUSY !
Guy that delivers here is also a great guy, yes he disagrees with policy but he's just a driver.

I spoke to mine last delivery- felt bad for him, told me not only that he needs a job for money but it’s so much more harder to do the job with all the verbal abuse ( remarks) he gets about ups delivery policy charges. He says sucks to be the one that customer actually sees. ( maybe that’s why they drop it off at the porch for a clean get away?)

Add all the online deliveries they have to do now (i.e Wayfair.ca etc.), alot of small furniture deliveries. Guy was complaining on how much more they are required to lift/carry...(while I showed him where to leave it in the garage.:))

16256 if UPS is the only option I order somewhere else - every once in a while I get a check rom a collection agency from a class action law suit look at the dates how far back it goes - if more people did this or complained to the people they order their product from things would change for UPS as there are many other shippers for business to chose from....

Sorry to change the subject (I agree UPS sucks)
Does anyone have anywhere they would recommend to have a TR-6060 transmission rebuilt? I have a lead on one that has a damaged reverse gear and would like to get it beefed up at the same time. (Trying to figure out if core plus rebuild is cheaper then buying a pre done one)

this past Monday...Feb 25th.....was the one year anniversary of the wife and I ditching the cigs
so in the last 12 months we haven't
1) burned through over 19,000 cigarettes
2) emptied ashtrays over 730 times
3) spent $12,000 at various convenience stores
I'm guessing the convenience stores aren't too happy
You both should be proud Tim, hell of an accomplishment.

How much are u spending on e- cig's ? just interested ! been trying to get the wife to go that way !!!

not much
I'm not even inhaling the vape anymore (since about early last November) just using it like a cigar.....and the fluid we use now has zero nicotine
set ourselves up with 2 half-decent quality vapes each = $200 ($50 x 4)
we'll go through 1 coil in each vape in about 4-6 weeks = ($2.50 per coil x 4) so call it $10 per month
bottle of the fluid lasts about a month = $30
so in the past year that's $660.....but we won't be buying more vapes....so looking like it's a $500 per year habit....that kicked a $12,000 per year habit

I had to do the math because that seemed like a big number, but that's a pack a day each. That is a big number.
Congrats on ditching the cigs.

Congrats.
Been smoke free for 15 months now.. saved about $9000 since
First vape mod lasted about 9 months $90
The one I have now $100
Coils last me about 10 days $15 a pack of 3
I order juice online.. local retailers are out to lunch on prices. A 2-3 month supply of juice is $130 shipped.
Have never felt better.. still on 3mg nic (its so damn good) but hope to start coming off it soon.

May as well ask since you brought up the auto.
That's my other alternative.. what would you do, Tr6060 with MGW etc or a 6R80 with the US shift controller and paddles. Car is 450-500 wheel Eaton blown 3V, next year hopefully building a new block and want to turn up the power and put a VMP blower on it. Need something stronger then the 3650. I know the auto will be faster on the street and drag strip but not sure if I will miss the connection that you get with a stick.

I think I'd have a hard time making the transition myself for the reason you cited...it really connects you to the car. Granted, at some point, my left leg (knee/hip) might force a move to AOD....but till then, I'll be giving it a good work out each time I take out the Shelby.
