Just got in from my daughters first ride in a mustang... Out for a walk this morning and didn't notice she was chucking everything out of the stroller as we walked...got home and noticed we were missing toys and the 3.2 million dollar floppy hat my wife insisted she needed....

My brother borrowed my wife's car the other day (still has it) and momma took the f150 into work so it left the garage queen to head out and track everything down haha... T tops off and enjoyed the wind in her hair :)

The new high pressure submersible fuel line I put in the tank just burst again and nearly stranded me. This car is Groundhog Day.

Some vendors are under the assumption 30R9 hose is submersible, it's not. Hose has to be rated 30R10 to use inside the tank.

I remember reading on a couple of Harley sites where there was a mix up and guys were being sold R9 line as being submersible and of course seeing repeated line failures.

Mine was a Napa hose( can't confirm R9 or 10, package long gone) Split right at the connection to fuel pump. Same as others. I swear it's a combo of the tight bend from the fuel pump combined with boost fuel pressure levels. Or just piss poor luck. The Glenn's system is looking pretty tempting right now, but $1800 usd plus cost of retune, very hard to swallow. Burned out on repeat issues doesn't describe the half of it.

Lethal's budget return has proven very reliable on a bunch of Cobras we've put em on. Uses your stock feed line with supplied line as a return. Also uses your stock rails with super cool adapter that goes in place of fuel pressure sensor.
Aren't you running a Cobra dual pump set up? Have a boost a pump on there? Any chance your seeing odd pressure spikes that might be killing the line? On a previous tune, my car would regularly blow out pressure regulators at track days (sometimes 2 a day, now that $$ added up fast). Since being retuned locally, issue is behind me.
On the flip side / as I said above, very common to be sold the incorrect line in spite of asking for the right thing.

My setup is basic. 340LPH pump in modified stock basket, stock GT tank. No boost a pump or modified driver. Def possible there's pressure spikes, maybe I'll try to get a laptop and log. I tossed some basic fuel injection rated 5/16 in just to get the car running and in to garage, gonna order some good submersible from a reputable source this weekend.

I guess I'm not too surprised.....it's pretty much "the path of least resistance" for these builders....until they get stopped in their tracks

imo....there is only 2 ways to pour that foundation and avoid all obstacles

1) a small stand-alone pump/boom (aka not on a truck) set up on the front of the property infront of the garage opening
2) set up a very big truck across the street and get the boom to go up over the lines and trees...which would need a permit to shut down the street

they were trying to wedge a mid-sized truck into the front of the property...and then figured they'd just block the street to open the boom and then drive it onto the property with the boom extended....and that is very illegal apparently

anyhoo....they'll be walking on eggshells since the city is on them now.....more money for more permits...let alone paying for multiple concrete trucks that didn't pour a thing

the owner of the new build imo seems alright.....way more professional then some of the circus acts I've watched on my street over the years

getting Warren over hear last fall to install my own temp/snow fence along the property line is paying big dividends....the crews know that's my fence and to stay the fuck on the other side of it....and the angle-iron posts hammered into the ground inevitably stops them from pushing their own temp fence on to my property

just yacked with another pump-truck driver who showed up to have a look....seems there's two options

1) a much smaller 32ft truck...pretty sure the truck this morning was nearly 40ft
2) a line pump

foundation crew will shit a brick if they need to pour with a line pump....apparently a total PITA

so assuming they'll be crossing their fingers that the smaller truck will do it

having a huge truck go over the power lines sounds like it's a big no-no.....can't go over the power lines without a massive hassle with Toronto Hydro etc...big dollars

A well known garage door company installed a new door with high lift tracks at my buddy's house, to accommodate a lift. I marked the height where I wanted the torsion assembly to go so I can install a jackshaft opener after the guys were done. It was a super tight squeeze, door installer said there's not enough clearance, the opener wont fit, yadda yadda... Got it in and working with no issues!

Yup! The opener requires 8" of clearance. There's only 3.5" between the door track and drywall. The rest of the space had to come from the inside of the wall cavity. Thankfully the bricks on the other side of the tar paper were not tight up against the 2x4 partition, which gave me just enough clearance.

Well school startin in a week and a bit. What's that mean? We get to hear all the belly aching and whining from teachers that have to go back to work.

Thanks for the offer markviii, went down this morning and pulled it out from the cabinets pulled the control panel out to see if a fuse had blown (it didn't) plugged it back in and sure enough it started back up.. Going to go down in 30 to see if it's cooling.. Maybe needed a reset? We had a few power outages lately from storms...I have no idea?

She's 2 years old now.. I got her July 2014!!! 630 km per week just for work. Many trips to Montreal and of course whenever we go out, we always go in Helga, so it's pretty bang on the money.. only 60,000 km left on the warranty!!!

Not sure.. I was thinking once the warranty runs out I can start having some fun and do a few mods.(but man are they not cheap). If I try to sell it, I'd lose big time on it for what's still owing on the car. So really I'll have to ride it out and wait till I pay it off until I can consider another vehicle..
My next plan however (providing I still have the distance to travel to work). Is buy a Japp car as a DD, and have a lil 911 (obviously used) in the garage for a weekend toy that the Mrs and I can bomb around in and I can take to work every once in a blue moon... This is what I should of done in the first place, but I'm here now so no sense harping about whats done!! Just gotta live with it. I still love the car but it's no longer adding up well for me... The payment is huge and the maintenance costs are out to lunch!! But on the plus side, it's a bitchin ride and I still enjoy driving it everyday!!

In Burlington? You should have called Mike's in Waterdown. Way easier to deal with a pile of soil rather than a bag in my opinion. Ask for Ian, say you own a Mustang and I can get you a bit of a deal. And yes, pick up is the best deal, save the $50 on delivery. And I have to say we don't make a huge amount on that delivery after you pay the driver and then all the costs of running a large truck.

Of course I say that in self interest as I'm the retail manager (among many other things) there. So if you need garden supplies or aggregates give us a call if you are in Burlington/Dundas/Flamborough areas.

Selling my Buick winter beater since I'm getting a free Impreza from my mom because she got a free g35x. Long story on that one, we'll just say she would much rather have a dear friend around than get a car. Can't wait for the kijiji lowballers. Played my first 18 hole round of golf today, did about as well as I expected considering that I had only played 9 holes once this year. Combination of a newborn and brutal heat kept me from playing after work. Played at a course I hadn't played in at least 20 years. Had vague memories of a few spots, but it was basically a new course to me.

And kijiji people, read the damn ad. I don't need to tell you the year of the car when it is in both the title and description. Also, my (rough) location is listed, you can click it on the app or website and it'll bring up a map.

Attended another websites grudge day on Sat, 20 min from the track I lost all gears (my guess was shift linkage came off), with significant effort limped the car to the track to find a jack and tools.
Andrews trailer had an open center and worked like a drive on service bay (except with no room and cross bars underneath). I took apart the center console to see what was visible from above and found the whole shifter was moving as the bolt connecting it to the trans had worked its way out and was barely held in by the trans tunnel. Ron Charlton (either TTpinto or mustang94 on here) literally saved my day by fixing the issue and lending me tools to put the car back together. Cant thank him enough.
I did my grudge races with the shifter boot and console out and hot air blowing at me from under the car and being able to hear the driveshaft etc, so I didnt take them very seriously. Ryan Quinn and I decided to stay for test n tune that night and make some more runs. I had some traction issues with prep and street tire cars, gear lockouts and the car seems to be making less power as I was down 5mph (already sent a log to my tuner) but had one a sign of progress a new personal best 60" of 1.56 (cars stock shocks 17"radials) best run was only a 12.8 (last years best was 12.5) hopefully go back in some cool fall air and shoot for a lower et.

Biggest takeaway from the day was the awesome people you meet and the community feel, having Ron take time out to roll around in the dirt to fix my shifter while he was supposed to be getting his own car ready really shows the amazing character of the people on these sites.

house was made shorter because I went down to the Committee of Adjustment meeting last year to fight for the big Maple tree that straddles the property line.....so while they wanted to cut down the tree and built a longer house....all they get to do now is trim a few branches and build a shorter house and I keep my shade and privacy

but the house is about 8-10 feet longer than mine.....and the last set of plans I saw showed a big window (likely the kitchen) on the main floor overlooking the deck in my yard....I told the Architect that I had a huge problem with that but I didn't think he gave a fuck

over the last 2 months they've excavated, poured the foundation, back-filled and are now framing....so I've had quite a few conversations with the developer.....

I told him straight out more than a few times...."if you put that window there....when you put up the for sale sign I'm gonna lay out there NAKED on my deck and I'm gonna cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars"

the responses was always a chuckle....but I said dude I'm serious...the new owner won't be wanting to stare over at us, and I sure as hell don't wanna be looking at them....so if you put a window there, I don't care if it's -20 in February....I'll be laying there naked

they framed up that wall on Saturday......and there is no window

I've ditched the well (cause it was falling apart) and replaced it with a big 30" pot.....yanked the cedar bush in front of the white hydrangeas and between the boxwoods and put in 4' wide 2" high rectangular planter....and put a pair of 4' high skinny planters on either side of the white hydranges against the back fence.....so lots of colour back there....everything is about as symentrical as I could get it too

my grass is just another thing on my OCD list....FFS I'm even watering it while taking the pic

The entry way on the back of our house needs some attention. It used to be a porch and was turned into a mud room many many years ago. It was not insulate well.
Decided to pull it apart and properly insulate it. Well found out the rood has been leaking. Really bad. Electrical was done in a scary way. So yeah end of summer project for me. Re sheet the back half of the house. Shingle it. Rewire porch properly insulate and drywall.

Good thing work is slowing down now.
