Ever since I put a pro 5.0 in my car, road noise and heat has been pretty bad through the shifter. Would adding a gasket and replacing the lower shift boot help?

I hate how you have to cut the boot for a lot of aftermarket shifters.. I bet this doesn't help the heat/noise problem.

My brother bought a full jam Ranger (every fishing toy you can imagine) this summer on a custom trailer for under 20k. Boat has very low hours, never left if the water overnight, never stored outside, always in a climate controlled garage. Gelcoat and upholstery could pass for 6 months old, same for the rest of the cosmetics. Pretty sure it's powered by a 250 Merc. Only thing he's done to it, split the lower unit and replaced impeller and seals as a matter of good maint.
With a new cost north of 60k as equipped, well worth the effort to seek out a used cherry.

I washed my car Saturday not realizing we were going into a deep freeze. Now every window is frozen in. I tried defrost, blasting the heat, and putting it in the garage with a heat lamp. Nada. Hmmmm Ranger is feeling a little sick. It will hesitate under load. It started on a simple fun run on Boundary road (after the nasty storm) and I thought it was only because I got water past the tires and got the engine all wet (I fell in a hole, water got IN the cabin). Anyway, after it dried it ran fine. Now it's almost as bad. Fuel mileage is shit too, I seem to average 16L/100km on the highway when I could normally do 11. Going to change the factory 2002 spark plug wires, feels like a spark problem not fuel to me. Just not in a mood to play on the DD when it's -10 outside and the fox is not going anywhere so no garage for me.

The retraction did little, however, to stem a debate the ad ignited about the regularity of racist advertisements in the Southeast Asian country.

The online ad for the new product called "Snowz" featured porcelain-skinned Thai movie star Cris Horwang talking about being an aging actress in a competitive industry.

"If I stopped looking after myself, everything that I have worked for — all the investment I have made to keep myself white — would disappear," says the 35-year-old actress. "New stars would replace me, I would fade away."

As she speaks, a smiling, younger woman enters the picture and Cris' own image darkens to charcoal black.

A male voice says, "You just need to be white to win."

A tirade of criticism erupted after the video was launched online Thursday. Online commentators labeled the ad as racist and ignorant, while some heaped criticism on the actress for accepting the job. Others called it a strategic way to attract wide attention and boost sales.

"Ewwwwwww," was the reaction of 28-year-old Jutamas Tritaruyanon, one of many to post their disapproval on Facebook.

"This ad is so obviously racist and another attempt to brainwash Thai women," Jutamas, a Bangkok-based office worker, told AP. "They're saying that being dark is ugly. It's a narrow-minded and disgusting attitude."

The Thai cosmetics company Seoul Secret issued a "heartfelt apology" in a statement Friday saying it had pulled the video clip and related advertisements.

"Our company did not have any intention to convey discriminatory or racist messages," the statement posted on its Facebook page said. "What we intended to convey was that self-improvement in terms of personality, appearance, skills and professionalism is crucial."

The ad is hardly the first to use racial stereotypes in Thailand, where beauty is often characterized as fair and delicate. Darker skin is often associated with rural lower-class Thais, and the country has an enormous industry in skin-whitening products and cosmetic clinics to help customers emulate the porcelain complexions of the Bangkok elite.

TV commercials for skin-whitening products regularly promote the idea that white is beautiful.

In 2013, the Dunkin' Donuts franchise in Thailand used a female model in blackface makeup to promote a chocolate doughnut. The company's CEO in Thailand initially dismissed complaints about racism, but the U.S. parent company quickly apologized and pulled the ad.

An herbal Thai toothpaste says its dark-colored product "is black, but it's good." A longtime Thai brand of household mops and dustpans called "Black Man" uses a logo with a smiling black man in a tuxedo and bow tie.

Ive had an open ticket with rogers since Nov 20 with problems with the cable. They are doing major updates because of the soon to be released 4k box and its fucking with everything else. Ive had two different "techs" in the last month come over and both have told me there is nothing they can do to fix the issue.

Call retention dept tell them you are not paying for cable for the month and they will credit it back on your account.

Need to vent----Been talking with Bill about ordering up a new truck to replace my new truck haha( I want the appearance package f150, wife said order it Saturday night...this afternoon she says "she wasn't going to bring it up but she's not happy with the 16 explorer"..we just bought it in June, what if I drove that and she can get a new car for herself..... Argh....my 15 f150 is a lease so I have to talk to Bill about either getting me out of the lease or see what kind of bath I'm going to take on the 6 month old explorer...explorer is bought and paid for so I really don't want to get rid of it...this what I get for buying it with out letting her test drive it.

Problem is it doesn't make sense to get rid of the EX its paid for, and after only 6months I'm sure I'll lose atleast 10k (tax + whatever I have to lose for them to sell)the f150 is a lease but I was going to buy the new one that I ordered...so it looks like I'll take the Ex, and she gets a new car that she can pick out so this doesn't happen again. With me it just comes down to having something very comfortable, good in the not so good weather, have some utility for those times I need it (which seemingly pop up more than I would have expected) and be very reliable - very important for me with my daily commute.

My last truck was excellent and nary a problem in the 80+K I put on it. The big plus with the new truck is I have all of the above and it's just awesome on fuel for what it is/does. And it's peppy as hell.

Ok, time for normal daily driver. Ranger is either going to get sold as-is or reverted to stock to be sold in late spring. Love the Ranger as it's the only true real mini truck left but not practical when we go out in it as a family. Someone offered me 7k for the Ranger, I should have taken advantage of the opportunity at the time. :(

I want a used full-size crew cab... probably a Ford but I'm not super picky as long as it's not 400,000km and missing half the box to rust like a (*cough*... Dodge)... lol I don't even think 4x4 is crucial, I won't be hitting trails anymore I mean it's fun to go offroading but it's a pretty expensive hobby, trails are pretty far and daily driving a lifted truck = meh. In my experience 4x4 in snow is great but you still get stuck behind retards with summer tires going 15 in a 60... and it's frowned upon to jump the sidewalk to pass them... (hey I only did it once).

I agree but also don't want to end up in jail for child abuse or whatever it would be for putting a baby seat on a jump seat. I get funny looks at daycare because the baby seat is in front. Airbag is turned off but what else am I supposed to do... tie her to the hood? lol
