RIP Chris morning show guy!
Chris Hyndman — one half of CBC’s afternoon lifestyle show Steven and Chris and a man known for his bright smile and witty banter — has died. He was 49 years old.
Fans and colleagues from across Canada mourned the loss of the popular TV personality Tuesday and many sent heart-felt condolences to Hyndman’s business partner and spouse Steven Sabados.
Hyndman’s body was found in an alleyway near the intersection of Queen Street and Broadview Avenue after 11 p.m. Monday, near the couple’s condo. But while Toronto police confirmed the discovery of a body in an alley, Det. Terry Wray would not release the identity nor confirm any of the details.
“We don’t release information in regards to people who’ve died unless they’re a victim of foul play and that hasn’t been determined yet,” he said.

9-5 eh? My current hours are 7:30-4:00. What type of work do you do?
I usually do 6:30 to 2:30ish. I'm a UX Architect by title but the role is more of an IT director since I am setting up strategy, governance models, managing employees, PM'ing BA'ing... I get home by 3:20 normally and check my emails and will work if needed up to 5pm. Sounds like more work but I'm more than happy to do it than be stuck in traffic.
9 to 5 is such a stupid concept, unless you work in a factory line where everyone needs to be in unison. In an IT environment (unless it's support) there's no need for this tomfoolery. You waste so much effort working in standard hours. I wish governments were smarter and mandated things like telecommute and flex hours to save on traffic, pollution and wasted time. 9 to 5 means I'd be home by 7 and have to leave by 7:15 at the latest using public transit. Or even work 12 hour shifts for 3 days.
Smaller offices, no one has their own "spot" anymore - all shared and forced to work from home 3x a week. Meetings are a joke 90% of the time, if we worked more effectively, we could do the same amount of work in much less time too but this 40 hour a week thing is, again, an old fashion concept brought to use office employees from the old days of manufacturing.

Week back from holidays has been surprisingly good. Untill today. Got back from work and the in laws dog that we were dog sitting got out of the back yard. Got picked up by animal control and had no tags. Cost me $197 to get the little shit back. Then I tripped over a toy box at home and smacked up my shin. Then I got a call from a customer who's washer I fixed today. Apparently it's my fault it's doing something compleatly different than it was before and now she has decided that the parts were too expencive which is also my fault and she has demanded I put off the 15 calls I have booked in for tomorow to go back out and she is canceling her check because she is not paying me till it's fixed Fun fun fun

I always hear that from people, but those same people drive like ridiculous assclowns. Have not had any real issues with my car (knock on wood, knock on wood, knock on wood) but I generally do not drive like an idiot, and keep it cruising pace 99% of the time. If you live in the top 20% of the RPM range, you will get hassled regardless of make model and mods.
Ray721
08-10-2015, 09:46 AM
I usually never get hassled either. He must have had a bug up his ass that night. My guess from the other black mustang in Oshawa. There's a couple other black Mustangs in Oshawa and one is nearly identical to mine and the guy drives like a retard.
The cop tried saying we were out all night ripping around Oshawa and Bowmanville. I was at my parents all day. The car never moved and we drove straight home. So that was all false.
Then he said we were driving around like crazy yet he didn't hand out a speeding ticket because guess what...we weren't speeding. The car is just loud. People equate loud to speed. There's a massive hill leading into our neighbourhood and the car was engine braking a little going down it. It wasn't that loud but louder than idle and that's why we got pulled over.
Michaela was driving. We always creep through the neighbourhood, specially at night. I have three neighbours that are Durham cops. Not one has ever said anything to me. The one guy on the corner loves my car and he has a loud ass F150. We make fun of my Camaro neighbour together.

I had to google this, wow... Just when I thought people can't get any more dumb, here we are. $50 for a label kit, a freaking 3 cent piece of paper (probably less if they have enough volume). You can make your own with a home printer and some labels, design shit with your kid and print it out. Much better and smarter - not as smart as a sharpie though. I do remember the pencil box fad in the 90's, something like this, that and those air pump shoes:

The GT vert is just a more all around versatile car. Top up, top down, and of course, it's a Mustang - and at the core, that's where my heart is.
Challenger is a beauty for sure tho. But with the Scat Pack I would have wanted, it was pretty pricey.

Why does this guy want to teach me how to sell?
I got a LP Traditional guitar I want to sell to get a PRS. I think I paid near 2k for the instrument with taxes (it's a 2013). They are on kijiji going for anywhere from 1600 to 2100 today. To buy a 2015 model it will cost you around $3600 and it has the stupid mini-tune thing. Gibson has increased their prices by a ton, mine is one of the last ones with real tuners, perfect quilted maple top and cherry.
One guy keeps sending emails with screen shots of kijiji ads at $900 and flyers from 2013/2014.... That's like me saying you only paid $1200 for that 1967 Mustang back in 1968 (here's a flyer from Ford), so I should offer you $600 for it. I ignore the nonsense but part of me wants to be a dick about it. I spend a good amount of time looking at kijiji for deals (like a $900 Les Paul Traditional) that I can resale but I've never seen one. then he says he will wait because I will lower it to a thousand bucks. For a thousand I won't sell it, I'm not broke just have GAS for a new PRS and can't have too many guitars or wife will get suspicious. lol
Anway... fuck that guy.

^Yep, if someone wants the wheels so badly they can have them. Better than being stuck on a back road out of cell range and being SOL. But I'm also scratching my head as to where on earth the key could be. Normally I leave it in the ziplock bag with the other nuts.

I can hug her now and not feel her spine......not only that, but the upper back and shoulder workouts have corrected her posture.....her whole body is firming up nice
won't be long now before she's over the 100lb mark....cause she is putting the food back too

Drove a 2015 Camaro SS yesterday with I-LE + Recaro's. I'll tell ya, GM has really upped the game on that bad boy. Sure vision out the 1/4 windows is brutal but otherwise, car is a home run. Rides n overall road feel, impressive, power is spot on, seats are dreamy nice, shifter is great, brakes are freakin stellar. Takes very little time behind the wheel for it to feel totally familiar, nice car, yes I'd consider one.
Got a kick outta reading several mag test rides were they complain the ILE is not even in the ball park for a daily driver. Took it on the worst or the worst I could find, car stays planted n poised no matter what I aimed it at all the while maintaining a very comfortable ride. Considering the monster 20" skins it has on all four corners, impressive.

Great looking car. I came close to pulling the trigger on one last year (in white). But the headroom is just a tad too short for me.
Was really good with the Recaro's n power seat combo.
Armen
08-16-2015, 03:04 PM
Ya, tried Recaros and without... Head just skins the headliner. Zero chance of a helmet fitting.
This is also a no sunroof version.

I wouldn't even sit in the sunroof one, lol. Both the car's I tried were solid roof. And remember, I had a Camaro before in 2010. Same deal at the track. I had to hold my head sideways down the strip!
When looking at the1LE, I even took my helmet to the dealership just to be sure - I loved the look of the car that much.
Well that bites, still got yerself a very cool new ride.

Yes pretty much dead on.
So I'm 6'4" and my head just rubs the headliner. So I can see how you prolly would have lots of headroom. Still plenty to throw a helmet on for the occasional track day - which buying a 1LE, you'd definitely want to do. So for me, that was the deal breaker.

Wow! Sounds like she is feeling a lot better. Glad to hear that.
Doc says she goes back to work on Sept 3rd
so..that will be roughly 17 weeks off
the first 7 were a combo of being to sick to work and then finally landing in the hospital for that whole ordeal
the last 10 have been recovery
she's doing very well with her workouts....we've had to learn together as we go....her lat-pull-downs were terrible but then realized her little legs were not even reaching the hold-down pads cause she's so tiny...solution was Yoga-blocks...they fill the space between the top of her thigh and the bottom of the pad like they were made for that...result was perfect form and immediately doubling the weight
she's not strong enough to do leg curls on the new bench I got....solution was 2.5 lb ankle weights and standing leg curls one at a time while standing on a yoga block....I support her knee and her butt with my hands until she's got the form locked down
I'm not giving her any excuses....if we stumble over a problem...we find a solution
she's got a long way to go...but she is doing fantastic

When we moved to our place there was no fence. The only option was to change the dot up when he was outside. Didn't hurt him. He had plenty of room to run around. As well as multipule shade options. Now that we have a fence he no longer has a chain but he has always been health and happy. Even when we used a chain.
Neighbour accros the way on the other hand never uses a chain. And their dog is locked in a room upstairs the only time it gets out side is when they take it for a walk so it can go to the bathroom. This looks to be twice a day.
Which is worst?
Chains arnt the issue. It's the owners

True but last winter many chained dogs froze to death with the extreme cold snaps so even with idiot owners, if they are not allowed to be left outside 24/7 they would not die like this.

So... how do you sell a 20+ thousand dollar car? Certainly don't let the person drive off into the sunset with it without money (test drive). Normally I drive for the test I'd only let the person drive it if they show me some cash (serious buyer). But what happens if the dude gets in a crash? Should I be compensated for the loss in value + getting the car repaired or he just buys it and deals with it himself? Always wondered about that. I'm not a dealership that can afford the risk (and I had to negotiate a deal and pay a deposit before I could go for a 10 minute drive with the salesman sitting next to me).

Tried to add my new car to my insurance policy with their "easy online tool". Good luck with that. After filing it all out I find out it takes a day or two for them to get back to you. Thanks for nothing TD, I went online to not have to talk to someone. If I had called in I would have my temp form in my inbox in minutes. So now I get to call in, wait on hold and then finally talk to someone.

Anyone know of a good way to get this logo off my window visors? Seems like it's painted on. Paint thinner maybe? Hows that stuff with plastic?

Is it a decal or embossed?

Took a quick look, some texture to it but seems way too thin to be a decal.

Looks like silkscreen print or transfer. Will be hard to remove unless the paint/ink/sticker is defective

Try some acetone usually works for that kind of stuff and not harsh enough to hurt the plastic.
Or very fine wet sand paper then shine it up by hand

Corrected my speedometer as it was off by +20 kms
Replaced the rubber parking brake on the centre console

wife had a girlfriend's night out for dinner tonight....no nurse today so I had to help dress the wound
haven't done this in 2.5 weeks when I helped dress the "leaky wound"
the progress is incredible.....it ain't leaking.....and it's so shallow that I'm guessing we're almost done with the nurses now
she seems pretty stoked about the muscle and mass gains.....asking me to grab here and there and "flexing"
it's working

Well it has been over a year since I have heard the 55 Ford truck run. Tonight we got her all together and fired her up. Sounded good too, so next will be to save the pennies and finish the interior, tires, rims. and down the road we will go.
Hope it doesn't take as long as it did to do the body & paint work.
Nice progress Larry, got some shots of ye olde gal?

Had high flow Magnaflow cats welded into the Xpipe. It's no longer ear drum shattering loud and doesn't smell anymore.
