Soap cannon? I just have the Canadian Tire simonez (spelling?) version for the Pressure washer and it works great. Now I'm too lazy to get the washer out of the shed so I haven't used it in a year lol

The ones for the hose are pretty useless, not enough pressure to really make foam or decent suds. Pressure washer is the way to go. I have the MTM foam cannon, it's nice as all the fittings are brass and everything else a rugged plastic. It was under $100 iirc.
A good citrus auto soap will clean pretty well with just a power washer and foam, but if you want it 100% or have crazy heavy soiling you will still need to put a mitt or brush to the paint.

For a pressure washer use the only one I recommend is the MTM. Best in the business hands down.

Secret to any any of the pressure washer foam guns are they are made to use with gas pressure washers with higher gallons per minute
To get similar results with an electric you need to change the orifice to a smaller size (I've done this so im not talking out of my ass)
MTM and chemical guys I believe market a low pressure unit which is already setup like this.
The cost effective option is buy something like what Norm posted and then switch the orifice yourself (you can find them online from chine and other places)

Nick, I have a 2000psi electric and it works good without changing the orifice. Perhaps necessary with lower pressure units?

Possible, I have two units one with the smaller screw one without, be interesting to test them back to back (or to be even more scientific just change the screw in yours mid wash)

I have a 3400 psi gas pressure washer, just dosnt do crap with the soap dispenser that came with it so you have to soap a spot, brush then rinse right away to avoid streaks so when I do the big truck or travel trailer I have to change the tips like 100 times.
ill look into some of the soap cannons recommended, thanks guys

Does this Cannon business cut down on wash time ? Or you still gotta get the mitts out ?

If you watch the video from the post Norm posted the guy says soap canons are a good alternative between hand washes, I don't like the part that if there is still grit on the car after the soap canon then you'll rub it off when you dry the car.

You still have to go at it with a wash mitt if you want the car to be squeaky clean. I personally will use a foam cannon for stripping waxes off the car giving the soap time to dwell on the paint followed by using a wash mitt. A foam cannon works if the car is just light dust or heavily soiled and it has the ability to dwell on the soiled areas.

I love using mine, makes it much easier IMO. I use my presssure washer to first rinse the car very well. Then use the foam cannon. With the mustang since it stays relatively clean I only need to use the mitt on area's below the moulding for the most part.
With the daily's I have to do the entire car with the mitt but IMO it makes washing the car much faster. I am yet to try a better quality soap to see if it helps remove more dirt without using the mitt.
For the $25 or $30 I paid for mine on Amazon it was well worth it.
