I got the 4 post one to kill the alternator as well so it's a legit kill switch. I wonder how "smart" it is to install this on a street driven car. LOL I picture some asshole kid switching it off at a red light. Even I'd be tempted. I'm doing this because I'm a paranoid idiot that normally unplugs the battery when I'm not using the car and would prefer to use a switch. Also makes it safer "in theory" when I finally go to the track. I mean it's a slow car so I'm not worried about crashing it that badly.
I am planning on a 6 hour road trip too so I hope it's a good switch. I think it's rated at 175 continuous amps which is more than enough for the circuit.
