Mustang - in the garage on ramps. Its what ever gouging Royal Purple and Motorcraft instills on me at the time, usually $80-$100

Truck - dealership, this way I get maintenance records, no issues with warranty, and its like $50.

I change the oil on my vehicles. Thinking about taking advantage of a couple free oil changes on my new ride, but would rather do it myself....so haven't decided yet.

All my vehicles are done at home. Receipts all kept, mileage and dates all logged on a spreadsheet.

At home using Mobil 1. My Vibe has been using this oil for over 200 000km and still doesn’t burn a drop of oil.

From April through November I’ll do it myself.. but come winter I’ll just pay someone. I already spend 40+ hours a week outside. I need a hoist :(

I need a hoist :(

Even with one, I still do my oil changes on the ground with ramps. Not worth the time and effort to move vehicles around to get said vehicle on lift and then reshuffle vehicles after everything is done. The Mustangs on the other hand, when either one is parked on the lift. I'll take the opportunity to change the oil.

Ya... but do you have a ram?

The new Toyota will be getting the oil change at the dealer. My son's car and the Ram gets it done at home. Bonus...don't need to raise the Ram for the oil change!

Just joined... 22 Wing Auto Club
https://www.cafconnection.ca/North-Bay/In-My-Community/Recreation-Clubs/Auto-Hobby-Club.aspx

Has a couple hoists/tool bin/tire machines/wash bay/welding equipment and project shop. First job will be rebuilding the prop shaft u-joints on my 09 Rzr S. Most of the services have nominal charges like $3/hr for the hoist or $2/tire for tire machine.

No more laying on my back for oil changes or touchless car washes in the winter....:highfive:

Newer Rams have taken changing the oil filter to a whole new level of pain in the ass.

I heard the GT350 is no pleasure to remove the oil filter.

Took the wife's buggy up for a wash at the auto club this morning. Brought the usual supplies though didn't have to. They supply everything you need from soap, pails with grit guards and even a decent foam cannon. Was awesome...for $2.... :D

We need that here in the Toronto.
Mustang oil changes are done in my driveway on ramps and the new colorado still has a few freebies @ dealer.

Done at home for me on the driveway. I get to take my time, let the oil drain longer, check other areas, and then install the oil and filter brands (I like OEM) of my choices.

Fusion daily driver - Ford Dealer (Quick Lane) about $55

Jeep daily driver - Dodge Dealer about $55

Shelby GT500 - my garage on ramps, Motorcraft 5W50 full synthetic and Ford Racing Filter - about $80

1978 MGB - my garage on ramps, Valvoline 20W50 VR1 with zinc and Purolator One Filter - about $45

I always put them on the ramps with the engine warm and let them drain/drip over night.
