Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School is a high school operated by the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It opened in September 2004.
The name was selected in 2003 by school board trustees. When they asked for suggestions, the most frequently submitted name was Oscar Peterson, but because he was still alive, Peterson wasn't eligible to have a school named after him
Maybe Oscar will finally get the school named after him since he's dead now.

It's hard to get into a reasonable discussion and not get heated. It's even harder to listen and accept that there may even be good arguments in opposition to your views.

In my opinion what's missing in the current environment is clear understanding of the issues and open discussion.

I tried that and lost my four closest friends because they could not answer a single question I asked and could not give one reason thontheir thinking.

They chose instead to insult me. Then Point out everything I have ever done "wrong" and tell me that their views don't align with mine and they can lol longer befriend someone Who thinks my way.

But our kids all grew up together and I'm still trying to figure out how to handle my son wanting to invite their kids to his up comming birthday party.

I would keep the kids out of the disagreement, and continue to let them play together.

My concern with that they would doing the same as other recent events that were suppose to happen which was cancel at the last min or just not show up. Which would devistate my kid on his birthday.

Thinking it might be better to have the hard talk first. Honestly I don't know.
