Looking for something to clean my siding, it's pretty light and looking a bit rough from neglect. I've seen a bunch of different options at the big-box stores, does anyone have something they've found to work well? I cleaned some of it today with the Windex window/exterior cleaner but it did very little unless it was scrubbed.

Just a pressure washer usually does a decent job

Is it vinyl or aluminum?

No idea on plastic, while cleaning the deck a couple or three years back, accidentally got deck wash on a bit of the alum siding, worked so well I did the whole house.
To me, Simple Green or maybe even Citrus Cleaner from Home Depot would be good options on plastic. Try a small bit in an inconspicuous spot n judge from there.

If you have a pressure washer you can buy siding wash at ctc. Just remember to shoot down on the siding, not up. The siding has drain holes in the bottom and you don't want to get water up behind your siding.

No pressure washer, just a hose. Haven't tried anything but the Windex as stated. Just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone had a recommendation, but I'll likely just use the Zep from HD, I've used Zep products before and they seem to work well.

We go through a substantial amount of Zep Citrus here, exceptional product and priced very right if you buy in the 4ltr jug. If windows have the years of no cleaning grime on them that won't come off with windex or similar, clay bar and detailer spray is your best friend. Makes quick work of it and leaves em uber clean.
