I just had that shiver from the teeth going against the foil wrap from the old school Lola...lol

my Aunt May and Uncle Charlie.....awesome folks long gone now...used to have this corner store on Finch Ave at Altamont.....just west of Finch/Yonge....was a kid's paradise....one of the last penny-candy stores in Toronto

I shovelled down many Lolas there

Haven't seen them in years, I suspect Nestle has taken all the freezer space with their various ice cream etc.

Sugar Mountain (retro candy store) in the Beaches had them 2 summers ago. Not sure now

I used to lug shopping bags full of 750ml glass Coke bottles to local Becker's to get a Lola, a pack of Fun Dip and a pack of O Pee Chee Hockey cards! I'd have to wait a month or two to get enough Coke bottles to pay for all that but definitely worth it!!

Yes take that back and don't forget the big plastic milk jugs as well to get a Lola , the fun dip that. Rotted your teeth and the crappy hockey card gum.....Lol
