Has anyone ever been? I just booked a 9 day cycling and surfing trip for beginning of September

I've never been, maybe one year. My wife's parents are from the Azores. From the pics and videos I saw you'll have a blast during your stay! Which islands are you hitting?

9 days, 9 major islands .....you'll be able to cycle around one island a day. :thumbsup:

I have been to Sao Miguel which is the largest of the 9. There are definitely some amazing views of the natural formations of water such as the Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo, Furnas etc. Completely different way of life there with everyone being super friendly and maxed, relaxed. Enjoy your trip!!

Staying in Sao Miguel, may take one or two day trips to the other islands, but this is a relaxation vacation more than site seeing trip. Totally booked it on a whim so I don't know much more about the islands right now

Will hopefully surf at least 6 or 7 days and ride a few hundred km's
