Looking for good restaurant options for Niagara on the Lake area that are not tourist traps. For:

1. Breakfast
2. Dinner

Anyone have any good tried and true recommendations?

We went to Pillar and Post (Cannery Restaurant) last summer. Very fancy.

Braised beef short rib was gooooooood.

Yes, I've been there before - nice spot, part of Vintage Inns I believe.

Looking for a smaller outfit, something like this (this one is further west in 20Valley area):

My niece had her wedding here a couple of years ago, not quite NOTL, close to Vineland area.

That is a nice place as well. Nice accommodations too. I've also stayed at Queens Landing Inn in NOTL and dined in the restaurant...they're more "corporate" and I was thinking a little more mom and pop or craft/farm to table restaurant.

Corks

Haven't heard of or tried that one (I think) - interesting menu.

Red Rooster in NOTL or Silks in Virgil for breakky. The Sandtrap in NOTL is my fav for dinner. Go there almost every week. The Irish Harp, and the Garrison House are good and so is Bistro 61. Corks is good too, like darkhorse said. Fire me a pm and we'll go for a beer at Oast or Silversmith.

Was great to grab a beer and talk Mustangs with Mike (CDNfyrfytr) at Silversmith Brewery...turned out to be a great patio afternoon and the orange Mach1 looked and sounded like summer.

On Saturday evening we ended up going to The Sand Trap for dinner as we ended up wanting something basic and simple in the end after doing the first part of our NOTL Sip & Sizzle event weekend (food and wine tastings all day). Thanks for all the recommendations - will file them for our NOTL trips this summer.

Great to see you too Richard! Next time we'll go to Oast and check out the patio there. Glad to know you had a great time in my town that I apparently know nothing about [emoji6]
