Car slipped off the jack before I could get the jack under the rail(my over excited dog jumped on me and I bumped into the jack). The jack dented the underbody between the subframe and outer edge. Could this have caused the gap(~1/4 inch) between the hood and quarter panel. The door gap is also off about the same near the top of the door. I'll get some pics up later today of the gaps.

If its push up on a mounting point or bracket for the fender, ya absolutely.

That's what I was afraid of. Wondering if it's even worth getting fixed or just starting with a new car.

I could but would banging out the dent cause everything to go back into alignment? I guess technically it should.

Precision hammering has solved issues like this on previous vehicles for me. "massage" the bracket mounting points back to where they should be.

I should have no problem doing that. By no means do I need or want a show car, just something to enjoy on the weekends. Was really just concerned about structural damage before I started putting money back into the car.

Dent is basically inline with the jack

The dent. It appears to be on the underside of the rocker. Not sure if this would cause my problems.

Is the door grabbing the fender?
Open xxxx slow to check.

8732It opens and closes smoothly, no hitches or extra noise but some paint is starting to rub off.

Paint rubbing off = contact between fender and door.
Need to get that addressed pronto before it goes from rubbing to grabbing n bends the fender.

Touch up paint on the lead edge once adjusted n your golden.

So you think it's just the fender out of adjustment and nothing structural is bent? I'm not sure if a dent in the rocker would throw off the whole front side of the car.

If it just fell off the jack, likely not a huge deal to correct.

Ok, guess that's the first thing I'm doing once I get everything else sorted out. I'll probably be giving you a call ZR in the fall or winter for some welding and motor installation.
