The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (http://jalopnik.com/dodge-challenger-srt-demon-this-is-apparently-it-1794153096) has to surpass the 707 horsepower Hellcat somehow. All the tricks like anti-wheel hop and no passengers seats and a crazy cooling system aren’t enough—the people demand numbers. We don’t know those numbers officially yet, but the word going around is that the Demon’s most powerful mode is good for 1,023 horsepower.

Power Mode 1: 757hp
Power Mode 2: 815hp
Power Mode 3: 1023hp *Mode 3 requires the following:
1. Race Fuel: 100 octane or better
2. Crate PCM (crate purchased separately from the car for approximately $3,000)

What a sick ride, and then there's Ford and GM, giving us nothing to compete with this car. Kudos to FCA on this and the Hellcat/Trackhawk (GC hellcat), oh, and the Durango SRT, oh, and the upcoming Ram Rebel with the Hellcat engine also.

^Lo, barge or not the claims are very impressive, the Hellcat itself is very impressive and now the Demon is here, hate all you want but Ford and GM are doing very little to compete with that barge.

With only 300 coming to Canada, I'd think the huge admin fees on the GT350R are going to look like pennies compared to what we're gonna see with this rare beast. I'm guessing it's gonna be about $95,000 CAN and you'll see dealers asking 30+ grand more. Then you'll see them on Ebay after they're all sold for even more.
