I saw an F150 York region police truck drive by the office yesterday. It was a crew cab model done up like the regular cruisers. Has anyone else seen these?

Yeah, they have had them here for a while now. I did a double take the first time I seen them.

Ford has had an "SSV" version of the F-150 and Expedition for a few years. Here's the Ford Media release about the upcoming 2018 models. Not sure why York Region would need them, the Explorer Interceptor would be big enough you would think.

Probably used for commercial vehicle inspections. They have an F-250 crew here. Done up the same as a cruiser but it's only for hassling truck drivers lol

I got a ticket out in cornwall by an OPP in an F250.
London has all kinds of trucks from Toyotas to Fords.
Some marked some not so much!

Windsor has a couple F150s both marked and unmarked, as well as a Ram unmarked.

I've seen unmarked Ram's as well. No F150's yet. They are getting smart now.

I've seen a few pick ups done in cruiser colours in Peel. Can't remember if they were F150's or Rams.

I just assumed the cops were making the occasional run to Home Depot for supplies

once the gear and cages and computer equipment are in and you add an officer with a full duty belt, there isn't a lot of room in these cars , the explorer is better but not a whole lot. The Taurus and charger get cramped quick

OPP has had them done up as contractor trucks as well on the 400 extension. Equipped with side ladder racks. Had to do a double take on that one this winter. Had full light package.
